The antivaxer area in west Texas is suffering from runaway measles infections. According to the article one needs to hit 95% vaccination to achieve herd immunity. Ironically these are the same people that voted for the current administration that cut the CDC funding.

The backlash has started. Tesla sales appear to be suffering as well as providing a nucleation site for protests. I see a parallel to when Steven Jobs was forced out of Apple and some soda exec took over. Things didn't go well till Jobs returned. Will Tesla be similar by firing Musk?

Everyone should upgrade their web login security and start using passkeys. Passkeys are real public key security where the remote site can't reveal your secret key because the secret key never leaves your computer (or phone). It also can't be phished since the user can't see it either.

This is a good example of why government mandated back doors such as CALEA are a terrible idea. End-to-end encryption (such as the Signal chat program) is the only way to be certain that a compromise at a third party site can't jeopardize the communication's security. #Signal
