A weird combination of exponential growth and the lowest common denominator. The mid stuff with the highest general appeal has exploded out of every medium, dwarfing everything else, but at the same, high quality, as well as niche, has also grown. It's there, and a lot of it, if you look for it.

The older I get the more I understand the appeal of a recliner. After a long day you sure as hell don't want to stand anymore. You want to do more than sit, but laying down is too much. You want to feel like you're laying down but still be able to do things like you are sitting up.
