Looking back at 2025, I edited 67 videos for @ign.com, including a few Devs React episodes and my first multicam edit! It's been a delight to work with so many amazing colleagues and cover some of my favorite games/franchises. Three years of freelancing has taught me so much - cheers to 2026! 🥂

Re-entering academia… this time as a professor of videogames! I’ll be teaching undergraduate courses that explore concepts of narrative design and gaming as sets of social practices. Plus, you'll still see my video guides over on IGN. It's games all day, every day!

The number of hours I spent torturing this Pokémon with Pester Balls as it spun around while I got closer to it in my hovercraft for the perfect photograph to be good enough for Professor Oak… OG Pokémon Snap definitely holds core memories 🩷

I still haven’t finished FF7 Rebirth yet. Loaded up the game, and all I’ve done is play Queen’s Blood back to back lol

Baldur’s Gate 3 is my favorite game of all time. I love any narrative-based video games and only like co-op board games, so unsurprisingly, I’m obsessed with D&D. Thursday nights are dedicated to Critical Role with a taste of whiskey from our collection 🥃

I have a PhD in math education and used to be a professor, but my outlook on life changed after I was diagnosed with lupus. I turned to gaming as a source of joy and never looked back. Lupus is an autoimmune disease with no cure, so every year I fundraise for @lupus.org to support research 💜

Heyyy, I’m Lynette! I spent way too long deciding what to post, so y’all get this gif to break the ice 🐻‍❄️❄️ I write and make videos about all things gaming (and more recently, film and television!) I’m very much a classic millennial who listens to way too much pop punk 🖤
