I don't like touch screens, especially for typing. But I wonder: Would a phone with the following physical buttons be more usable: Back, Home, Enter, Arrow Keys. You know, a little control pad in a corner. Maybe even a click wheel? Something tactile.

I'm really hoping that alongside this fantastic Daggerheart #Overwatch Questwatch one-shot with GM Matt Mercer, we end up getting a second in-game event. I *loved* the first Questwatch Battle Pass, and so many heroes have been mentiond in this live show already.

I have recently been catching up on shows where a new season had released but I didn't have time to watch. While I dislike how long post production for TV is these days, the visuals of both Shadow & Bone and The Sandman are absolutely stunning. Sometimes I pause the episode just to admire it.

I realised the other day that I already had this, on my Windows 10 machine. After some thinking on it today, turns out I had enabled it via ExplorerPatcher (Simple Window Switcher) years ago. So that's neat.

Watched Short Circuit (1986) for the first time last night. Hadn't heard of it before, went purely based on the description on Prime Video. Fantastic movie! We need more like this in modern times. Now to buy a Johnny 5 figure and look for more fun 80's movies.

Stargate has great potential. Martin Gero's show should be the focus for the short term, but in the same way SG-1 and Atlantis ran at the same time, imagine what other shows or movies could be made alongside it. #SaveStargate

We don't rewatch Stargate just because "there's a gate", but rather because the writers made great shows and told fantastic stories. That's a team worth keeping. #SaveStargate

Travelers, Dark Matter, Quantum Leap, Blindspot. Shows that I would happily watch over and over again. And that's on top of my frequent Stargate rewatches! The producers of those shows really know their stuff.. #SaveStargate

Hearing about Amazon cancelling Martin Gero's Stargate on my birthday was a real gut punch. I was very excited to see a show that respected so many years of existing lore. #SaveStargate

Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe both ended before their stories were finished. Imagine a world where a new Stargate show does so well, there's an opportunity to have the rest of those stories told. #SaveStargate

Shows that respect their fans succeed, even among new viewers. Martin Gero, Brad Wright, and Joseph Mallozzi respect the fans, and want their shows to succeed. Give them the chance, Amazon. #SaveStargate

Author Tad Williams says write for a singular reader - yourself. Only you can question the work enough to refine it to something worth reading. Then, hope an audience that likes the same thing you do shows up. Don't write for an unknown audience that may not exist. #SaveStargate

Hard reboots rarely succeed. Existing fans are alienated, and new fans don't show up. A new show set in existing canon gives both audiences a shared starting point. And viewership numbers grow from there. #SaveStargate

Matt Gajownik @wizardcm.com · 18/07/2026

Stargate fans have waited 15 years for a new show. We're patient, Amazon, but now is the perfect time to revive Martin Gero's show and fast-track it to screens. #SaveStargate

Stargate has over 350 hours of well-written, fan-loved canon. Purging it in favour of a fresh perspective is wasteful and flies in the face of fans, past showrunners, directors, writers, and cast. #SaveStargate

So the Overwatch team has decided to stop actively adding new heroes and maps to Stadium. The same thing they did to Hero Mastery: Gauntlet before entirely removing it from the game. This is during the 10 Year Anniversary, where they promised 2026 would bring great things all year round..

The funniest and most disappointing part about Overwatch's menu overhaul is that they overwhelm the Home tab with 3-6 ads for shop bundles, so I just.. don't spend any time there. I don't need to be advertised to - I'm either on the Heroes or Play tab. I still love the iconic Overwatch 1 main menu.

Fan-run campaigns to revive or continue shows are my favourite. Warrior Nun, Dark Matter, Travelers, all shows that ended before their stories were finished. #SaveStargate is one of those. And at a critical time in TV, too - so much Sci-Fi is winding down. We shouldn't.

#SaveStargate is one of the few things I both care deeply about & feel I can make even a modicum of difference. Our world is *rough* at the moment, and we all need comfort material. Stargate has helped me through many personal tough moments, and I'd love to see that world again. We were so close!

The more I experiment with Windhawk and now the Command Palette Dock in PowerToys (previously the standalone app WindowSill), the more I'm fascinated by how powerful Windows 11's rewritten taskbar is, and how little of its power Microsoft exposes. It's improving in new Insider builds, but wow.
