What? Another double espresso? I am so grateful for Australian coffee culture 👋☕️🇦🇺

Bel Downes (Coffeewith…) @withdownes.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I agree that the ill-gotten proceeds need to be seized from the Trumps. But give the majority of it to your Disabled people and watch your economy grow, because we know how to use resources effectively and efficiently. Also Dingbat hates Disabled people because he’s a POS - I’m completely serious.

Sure I’m Australian. But if you are eligible to vote in the US midterms in Nov, here’s a group of people there who need you to vote Democrat… Their lives depend on it and many of them can’t vote, Trumpy has demonised them: youtu.be/4vi55yULrIs?...

Bel Downes (Coffeewith…) @withdownes.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

I’ve said it before in other places, and I’ll say it again here… People in the US are not nearly angry enough. I’ve had people elsewhere say ‘You don’t know what it’s like! Apples and Oranges’… But we do, that’s why we’re saying you’re not angry enough. Don’t settle for scraps.

001

Bel Downes (Coffeewith…) @withdownes.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

The frail and disabled won’t be disadvantaged if communities look after each other properly. I’m outside the US and I might be missing something but there seems to be a lot of ‘me and mine’, no ‘us’ and blaming ‘the other’ for their problems.

141

Bel Downes (Coffeewith…) @withdownes.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

I’m physically Disabled, left work, and because previous and current govts care about me and other vulnerable people here, I fully participate in my community and economy, pay for the occasional cost that aren’t covered by tax funded medical care that is ‘free’ to me. I’m proudly Australian 👋🇦🇺

@AstroKatie Maybe you should learn some actual SCIENCE then, and stop listening to the criminals pushing the #GlobalWarming SCAM!

@gary4205 | dunno, man, I already went and got a PhD in astrophysics.
Seems like more than that would be overkill at this point.

‘You Can’t Ask That!’ is an Australian ABC TV series that’s been running off and on from 2016 The episode I was in (2017) has been put on YouTube. I look very different now, but I still agree with what I said back then I’d encourage everyone, esp families, to watch a few of the eps & discuss… 👋☕️🇦🇺

In the last week I’ve seen and heard people in the news for SA reasons being described as ‘deformed’, ‘bed wetter’, ‘mouth-breather’ by people I actually respect Can you imagine being a kid with one of these conditions and the only way their peers have heard about them is as insults at criminals?

Bel Downes (Coffeewith…) @withdownes.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

Friendly reminder: Don’t label despicable people with medical or physical conditions they don’t have Having a physical difference (like cleft scars) is not a character flaw. Neither is ‘bed wetting’ nor ‘mouth-breathing’ Talk about how they are despicable, don’t use some feature others can’t help
