One month anniversary of my wheelchair - and still no foot wounds. This means no more early morning nursing visits, a lot fewer medical appointments, no trips to hospital. More coffee with friends without serious foot consequences and I can walk around the house comfortably… Great investment 🎉🧑‍🦽‍➡️

I bought a carriage… Well at least this is easier to park. I walk at home unaided but this will make things a lot easier when I go out. (Feet are wound free now) This is my choice and it’s a good thing. I was well over all the wounds after each day out with friends. Open to nickname suggestions:

Can I just shout out the incredible people at The John Hunter Hospital (Newcastle 🇦🇺) who are looking after these puppies? My feet infections are easing and let’s face it they look pretty badass at the moment These staff are professional, kind and patient. So grateful to be Australian 👋☕️🇦🇺

With my Linguist hat on, this is why AI is dangerous when used as a therapist. I use it to think through tasks that need a lot of research. I give it boundaries that say ‘case study’ not therapy & use good sources And it just sent my this. It’s due to programming and algorithms This chills me 😳

In today’s great news: After a fortnight (2 weeks) of not leaving the house, my left foot is healing well and… I picked up my new boot today! Ironically it’s a tradie ‘non-safety’ boot because the steel safety cap toe in my last boot injured my foot 🤦🏼‍♀️ 🤷😳 This boot balances my moon boot well 👋☕️🇦🇺

Walked to the cafe and got two heartfelt detailed compliments about how I was doing with my hiking poles. ‘Improving on the poles I see!’ But I caught myself saying ‘I feel like I’m skiing everyday’. Everyone (including me!) think I hurt my foot while skiing even though these are hiking poles 🤷👋☕️
