i could also go on and on about how smart the erlang shen fight is, how you have to use every crafty tool at your disposal to stand a chance (like you’re wukong woah!!!) and how he just beats your ass with grace and technique. really good story telling through fighting actions

wukong still more or less has a fairly forgettable ost imo, but saving guitars and heavier drum beat for king yaksha was worth it to make that moment pop. the moment that song started and i realized what was happening i was popping off nonstop. having the grab attack activate the solo is so smart
