Yes, it's public, here is the link to the PDF files in each language, it's quite short and the US gets some parts slightly reworded and some clauses recognising things that already went without saying and the Americans now bind themselves to using Greenland contractors for their bases from now on.

I just read it, it's short, and the important changes are these: * The United States can bring a desire for new base areas to a commission of Denmark, Greenland, the US which will then decide. * The US agrees that contracts for running the bases are offered to Greenland businesses first.

The full text is not available in the Danish news as yet, but what has been confirmed is that it is something the Danish and Greenland governments have negotiated and that it will require passage in both parliaments to go into effect, neither of which would sign onto Trump's hallucinated deal.

Yes, this news story explains it better, the Americans keep exaggerating in their promotional material and on social media what they are doing or are about to do. What was actually moved was some shipping containers with spare parts and other materials, not an actual drilling rig.

Equipment being moved around within Greenland without adequate notice is what triggered the warning, I get the impression that this is about shutting down most avenues of later litigation, which would be far more likely to profit the company than actual arctic wildcat drilling.

Canada, Britain, Germany and Norway have more than 30 of the same Poseidon aircraft (in service or on order) with the same purpose, Denmark bought 2 because we need interoperability with those specific allies in the North Atlantic as we do not have the resources to go it alone.

That is an unlikely scenario however, diplomatic pressure was far greater the last time Trump pressed, and he was doing that before we had redeployed more troops to the island. I personally expect that Trump will whine about Greenland but I doubt he will try to seize it.

No changes have been made to the orders of Danish troops in Greenland - Even if contact with Copenhagen is lost, even if the invasion force has an unknown origin, Danish troops may use lethal force without first being fired upon, and runways are to be demolished if fighting begins.

Nobody in Denmark is happy about Trump's latest whining about Greenland, but Washington's rhetoric rings a good deal more hollow this time than it did when we deployed regular forces to Greenland to resist a potential invasion last time (they are still there, and now well entrenched.)

Denmark is a part of the NATO GlobalEye AWACS purchase, the two maritime patrol aircraft that we purchased separately are more like bombers for striking sea targets and deploying sonobuoys than they are AWACS. We did not "go against the EU" nor impress the Americans.
