The Danish government has called for legislative elections on the 24th of March, and I think this is a good decision with the US military so heavily committed to their buildup near Iran. Preparations have already been made for US sabre-rattling during the election campaign.

A fresh poll on Danish attitudes towards the USA has been published today, of those polled 17% view the US as an ally, 20% don't know, 3% didn't answer, and 60% view it as an adversary. Notably this new and hostile perception is not concentrated in any specific groups but is general. #greenland

A major demonstration was held in Copenhagen today as Danish veterans placed 44 flags each with a name of a soldier who died supporting the NATO missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. 44 such flags were removed and trashed days ago by US embassy personnel who later pled ignorance and apologized.

I'm surprised that it took this long, but the US government is suddenly showing an interest in what is known in Denmark as the "Spiral case" - There was a policy to sterilize some inuit women in Greenland, most of this playing out in the 1960s-70s but some cases happening as late as the early 90s.
