Older mice did not simply respond more slowly-they were less consistent. Across 18,000 neurons in 16 brain regions, ageing increased neural variability and weakened noise-quenching after stimuli. Mouse data, but a clue to cognitive ageing. #art #Neuroscience #neuroskyence
