Finished up this little notebook. Pastedowns glued to the covers and done. Couple of quirks where I'll try things differently in the next book, but this one is done and works nicely. It might get tucked away for Christmas gifts, not sure...

Been experimenting with bookbinding and have just finished a hardbound version of @thomasbrandstetter.bsky.social Torpedoes & Tides wargame rules, published by Ganesha Games. Final book is a bit rough in some details but thoroughly functional.

A book standing on my hobby workbench. It's a handmade hardback edition of the wargaming rules Torpedoes and Tides, with a spine of dark red homemade bookcloth and hard covers covered in light grey paper.

Couple of scenery bits from the excellent @fenrisgames.com done enough to show off. Unless I repaint the Cthuloid temple platform for a third time. Tufts on the bases still to do but I'll get those when I finish a bunch of bases all at once. #nerdlings #miniatures #wargaming

Weird temple platform and a very worn well, both resin from Fenris Games. The temple platform is about 4" front to back, the well about 3" tall and roughly 2" wide.

Seven more spectre conversions in progress. Four musketeers and three Roman auxiliary, several with skulls instead of regular heads. Spectral flames in progress. That'll give me a dozen spectres. #nerdlings #miniatures #wargaming

Four 28mm musketeers and three Roman auxiliary getting converted to ghostly spectres with greenstuff spectral flames and some skull heads. Several more rounds of greenstuff to go, you can usually only do one piece of flame per figure per session otherwise you ruin your previous greenstuff work.

So, popped a selective drybrush of Reaper Ghost White over these dead folks and am definitely happier with the result. Also textured the ground and painted it, including a bit of spectral OSL in the Dungeon Slime bright green.

Map labels have been updated. We're the Wargaming Tablelands now, a fun bit of wordplay. Pretty sure the bigger group on the left is "talks about GW/40k/etc" and the smaller lobe to the right is "doesn't really talk about GW" but that's speculation and rummaging for familiar names in both parts...

These guys are very WIP but fit the theme. Warlord plastic landskneckt being greenstuffed into spectres, and a skull thing mostly from GW skullz. Turns out that flame is pretty easy to sculpt in greenstuff. Also have a sprue of random Romans that'll get the same treatment eventually.

Three landskneckt and some sort of screaming skull construct, very incomplete. Greenstuff spectral flames being added to ghost-ify them.

I appear to be back on a 1/1200 naval kick. Got some small harbour scenery bits almost finished, new batch of ships just getting painted, and two new sets of rules to look forward to with a copy of Snorkers, Good Oh enroute and new coastal boat rules probably coming in February.

Last weekend I got to cuddle baby goats at a medieval club event. It was great. Baby goats are both cuddlier and louder than I expected.
