I think most wild era Zelda hate stems from the idea that this is the series forever now which I don’t know why people ever thought that was the case when Zelda is famously super experimental and changes things up pretty drastically with every game, totk and mm are both direct sequels and exceptions

Smash 3d Mario and Zelda hard carried the switch 1’s first year, I think because of that these are actually pretty compareable

Comparing the Nintendo switch consoles first 2 years

Switch 1 had 1-2 switch, Mario kart 8 deluxe, arms, Splatoon 2, Kirby Star allies, Mario tennis aces, super mario party, Mario + rabbids kingdom battle, super mario odyssey, xenoblade chronicles 2, Pokemon let’s go, super smash bros ultimate, and sushi striker.

Switch 2 had Mario kart 8 deluxe, dk bananza, hyrule warriors 3, Kirby air riders, Mario tennis fever, pokopia, yoshi and the mysterious book, Star Fox 226, Splatoon raiders, fire emblem fortunes weave, Nintendo switch sports resort, ocarina of time 2026, Metroid ravenous, Kirby and the world beyond, and 2 bonus switch 1 games being rhythm heaven groove and Tomodachi life living the dream.
