iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Not sure that I entirely agree with the Metropolis part. I have stuff I'm nostalgic for that wasn't part of my generation. It's all about when you consumed that piece of media, not if it was released when you were younger.

The start kinda reminds me of the Pokemon intro for the original series

Remember, embodying the spirit of straight animals is actually more gay.

A soft-focus image of a bunny with green text overlay. The text reads: "WARRIOR AFFIRMATIONS. I AM A BUNNY. I can hop as high as a bunny and be as cute as a bunny, but that does NOT mean I am as GAY as a BUNNY."

It's kinda funny how gen X has a tendency to get ignored in all of these generational back and forths.

Are you doing ok? That seems like a pretty severe overreaction to some relatively tame internet shenanigans

Idk I don't think ugly people are any more or less likely to be bad people than anyone else

Idk I feel like we shouldn't be bodyshaming terrible people. It's just a nasty thing to do even if others aren't catching strays 🙋‍♀️

It's surprisingly common in children's media too for the big bad to be ugly. You'd think that media made for that demographic would specifically avoid that trope

Kinda, but it doesn't really have the openings up and down the sides that you'd usually expect. It's not something I'd think of if it wasn't pointed out at least

It's really the older generations who designed school curriculums that assumed if kids can use a phone then that knowledge transfers to other types of technology. A solid chunk of kids don't have computers or don't interact with them on any regular basis

Haven't gone to a restaurant in years, but usually the music is super muted and IME if there's a TV that's usually louder

Brook @winter-yuri.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I've never heard music in any of the examples you've listed aside from movies. Being Canadian might make a difference, but it just feels super weird imagining shopping at Walmart and hearing a Taylor Swift song randomly come on
