I’ve got to say, maybe Trump *can* destroy Iran. He’s real good at destroying things—casinos, football leagues, White House wings, the conservative Republican Party, government agencies—and in a perverse way, it’s kind of nice to see him using that power against some other country for a change.

Elon's nuts if he thinks Starship can put 300 GW per year in orbit. My rough calculation is that a 300 GW array would require 210 square miles of solar panels weighing 2.4 million tons, which is 9300 starship flights, or one every hour. It's 100 times what humanity has *ever* put in space.

Tonnage to orbit will be solved by Starship.

Chip production is therefore the major piece of the puzzle to be solved.

The Tesla Terafab is needed for this, as there is otherwise no solution at sufficient scale.

These numbers are immense by earthly standards, but don’t register materially on the Kardashev II scale. For that, lunar production of solar-powered AI satellites is needed to take things to the 100+ TW/year level.

I've been seeing this Blood Moon hype a lot. But unless you travel to a dark area and let your eyes adapt -- or take pictures with a long exposure -- all you're going to see is a dim, discolored moon.
