Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Macca has uploaded The Hanging Sheep 11. It just gets better! Nick Stringer’s editorial sums up the mood in Summer 1990 as we prepare to hit the top flight after 8 long years. Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I’ve written a second piece about ‘Things You No Longer See At Elland Road’. It’s about the longevity of Half Time Scoreboard. With thanks to Nick. 💙🤍💛 #lufc #mot #alaw leedsunitednostalgia.substack.com/p/things-you... 021
Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 22/09/2026As I’m a legacy fan, and still cling on to a memory (for now) I’ve started an infrequent series on Substack about ‘Things You No Longer See at Elland Road’. Number 1 remembers the Physical Season Ticket. #lufc #mot #alaw leedsunitednostalgia.substack.com/p/things-you... 020
Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I’ve written a few musings on Substack about the stunning Leeds City (1916) programme we were delighted to share recently. leedsunitednostalgia.substack.com/p/leeds-city... Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I think last night’s poor atmosphere would be improved with the resurrection of the LUSC Dance Band. That’d get those wall flowers in the South Stand really rocking. From the 1928-29 ‘Official Souvenir’ - magnificent! www.flickr.com/gp/202272334... #lufc #mot #alaw 240
Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 15/09/2026We are lucky to have a Leeds City prog. From 1915-16 war time season, it’s been taped & lovingly kept in a binder. A misprinted date on the inside page, should be 1916. I doubt there’s many City progs still out there, a real gem! #lufc #mot #alaw www.flickr.com/gp/202272334... 050
Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Vol 3 of the Leeds United Mag covered 96-97. New signings Martyn, Sharpe, Bowyer & Rush led to optimism. Then Wilko is sacked, George comes in. Publisher is changed so only 10 issues. But at least we got a funky sticker collection. #lufc #mot #alaw www.flickr.com/gp/202272334... 020
Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 13/09/2026We complete the 50s home programmes with the 59-60 season, which ended in relegation. Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 07/09/20261958-59 season was pivotal in the clubs history. We signed ‘An accomplished newcomer’. Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 20/08/2026A busy Summer of 96. Great signings, Martyn, Bowyer. 2 Gary’s departure. After Wembley I distinctly remember optimism. Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 25/06/20261995-96 saw Volume 2 of the LUMag. An interesting season saw us get to the League Cup final (but enough of that). Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Following the token sheets, it’s season tickets. The plastic wallets disappeared mid 80s as cost cutting. They came back in the 90s, latterly adorned with players we went on to hate! Books became cards and now they’re on the iPhone. www.flickr.com/gp/202272334... 030
Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 22/06/2026So many old footy traditions are changing, paper tickets, physical programmes, season ticket books, HT scoreboards and of course Token Sheets, a fool proof way of proving loyalty and securing big match tickets. Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 03/06/2026May90, finally we’ve secured promotion back to the top flight. Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 03/06/2026After the 7 issue run of LU Kick Off (93-94), the club launched a new and totally unconnected mag in Aug94. Leeds United Nostalgia @windymillerfiles.bsky.social · 01/06/2026All issues of LU’s Kick Off Magazine are now on our archive to view free of charge (as opposed to the extortionate £1.95 per issue back in the day!).
