1/2 Johnny Depp is awful, but also why would anybody watch a movie about Ebenezer Scrooge before he undergoes the transformation that makes him a better person? A good portion of the whole plot is retreading over the life that made him a horrible person, and the glimmers of hope that he had ignored.
