I feel the same way about AI music. I’m usually pretty spot-on with identifying AI “art” but AI “music” has tricked me a few times. And it’s like a punch in the gut. Art and music are the beautiful results of human expression, and to have a machine just…make that is revolting to me.

Oh my gosh, I saw off handles on long brushes all the time. I can’t handle long handles for watercolor. For acrylic they’re sometimes fine, but not for watercolor/ink.

I’ll have to check the material, but I think it’s cotton. It’s a turtleneck I bought from the local thrift store and then painted with black acrylic paint!

Went to the local arts council’s showing of “Listers”. They had a bird costume contest and I won first place with my peregrine falcon outfit!

Myself in a peregrine falcon costume, made up of and handmade leather falcon mask, a white shirt with hand painted barred markings, a white akirt and black leggings with yellow “leg scales” made of tape.

Some friends can’t understand why I find anything Harry Potter so unpalatable now. I used to be a fan until Rowling showed her true colors. I can’t separate the art from the artist, not when she’s actively and deliberately causing harm to so many people.

they will need to start charging more for the services. And frankly, I don’t think the demand is there. People just aren’t going to shell out the money that’s necessary to make enough profit to support just how expensive it is to provide AI. It’s a bubble that’s in the process of popping.

I think it will at a smaller scale. AI I think is here to stay, but not at the ease of accessibility it is now. Right now AI companies are providing the product at little/no cost to try to get people hooked (think early Uber, DoorDash, etc). But they are hemmoraging money. Eventually 1/2

Laughing at all the NFT bros on Twitter and saying NFTs were a dumb fad and having them get all upset and tell me “NFTs are the future, they’re here to stay”. They ended up being a dumb fad that basically disappeared. :)

It was Canson Montival paper, which is a rather inexpensive watercolor paper, but I loved the way it handled paint.

Yes! I had an issue where a watercolor paper I used suddenly changed. Either it was bad sizing or a new sizing (treatment on the surface) which made it unusable for me. It was multiple batches, too.

“Man, I hate having to pay a plumber to come fix my clogged pipes and busted sink. I think all plumbers should work for free and just work a retail job to make their actual money.” This sounds ridiculous because it is. Same thing with art and artists. Art takes time and effort and skill.
