I love being your rubber duck 🦆 💖

Admittedly, moving to a private context can feel fairly awkward at first, but the payoff is great imo. That said, finding someone who you do vibe with that you can connect on a deeper level is hard RIP I can only wish you luck there

I feel like it's kinda hard to make deeper connections beyond just friendly acquaintance through talking in discord servers alone tbh. Like if the server is rather big, it doesn't feel very personal? idk how to describe I mostly only had luck when I began PMing some devs I spoke to in the server.

to chat about unrelated things! I still struggle with loneliness sometimes but it's better than before now 💖

Solo dev really does get kinda lonely and isolating sometimes 🥹 Especially if your project isn't popular with a big community of fans I'm in a few vn dev Discords which help a bit with socializing, and I've also made some dev friends through those servers that I try to PM regularly, even if it's

41. Do I have original works? Yessss. Shameless plugging time: my games can be found at wind-chimes-games.itch.io I currently have a MMORPG x chatsim romance VN out, and a necromancer otome VN on its way. I also have a couple more planned that I'll start working on and announce next year ✨

40. Fandoms I write for I haven't written fanfictions in a very long time, since I'm mostly preoccupied with my original work these days. But I used to write some fanfics for Mystic Messenger, Yuri on Ice and some niche Chinese webnovels awoiejals

39. Favorite trope to write Found family! Runner-ups are probably rivals to lovers and childhood sweethearts. Come to think of it, I think most of my games will have at least one or two of these tropes LOL

Wind Chimes Games @windchimesgames.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

38. Best character ever Uhhhhh I don't know. Would it be cheating if I said a certain panda creature character in my next game...? 😂

37. Coffee or tea Not a huge fan of either, but if I have to choose between the two, then tea.

100

Wind Chimes Games @windchimesgames.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

36. Favorite movie I feel obliged to say Kung Fu Panda as a massive panda fan 😂 Though I'm ashamed to admit I still haven't seen Kung Fu Panda 4... I didn't even know it came out until like, a month ago LOL

100

Wind Chimes Games @windchimesgames.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

35. Color of my toothbrush Ngl, I didn't even know the answer to that off the top of my head. I have never really paid attention to that when brushing my teeth LOL Apparently upon checking, the answer is white. How boring 😂

Wind Chimes Games @windchimesgames.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

34. Favorite quote This Chinese quote is the first one that comes to mind: 缘起缘灭，缘聚缘散，皆有定數。 Kind of hard to translate, but rough gist of the meaning/my own takeaway is... people who come into your life or walk out of it is all fate. So there's no point in clinging on when it's time to let go.

100

Wind Chimes Games @windchimesgames.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

31. Cats or dogs Ohhhhh okay tough question. I love both equally lol. If I am forced to pick one... I guess cats? They're lower maintenance and I'm lazy 😂

29. Last book I've read Do Chinese webnovels count? If yes, then I've just finished re-reading 长风渡 by 墨书白 Cried way too many tears over it again. Happens every time I re-read it 😂

Wind Chimes Games @windchimesgames.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

27. Favorite video game Ahhhh idk how to choose one. Maybe Rimworld or Slay the Spire. Transistor was one of my favorite narrative-heavy RPGs for a long time too.

110

Wind Chimes Games @windchimesgames.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

26. First video game console Nintendo 3DS! I wasn't really allowed to have consoles as a child because Games Get In The Way Of Studies 😂 So the first one I got was a second hand Nintendo 3DS from my dad's friend whose son no longer plays it after getting an XBox LOL

15. A random fact I know 🐼 Did you know that baby pandas are basically premature babies? Panda cubs are all underdeveloped when they are born and are tiny, pink, hairless and blind. They grow *fast* though, so there's that. 😂

14. Musical instrument I used to play the piano and violin. But I started learning both when I was so young, and I stopped after the Grade 8 ABRSM exams and haven't really touched either instrument since, so I can't remember shit by now probably LOL

13. My hobbies I'm boring so I don't have many hobbies. All I do is: - work on my game projects - read Chinese webnovels - play video games - watch panda livestreams and videos ...That's it. That's my life in a nutshell. 😂 I guess I used to listen to podcasts too but I haven't in a while RIP

12. Idea of the perfect date I have no idea... For someone who writes romance games I'm decidedly inexperienced with romance irl LOL Maybe just chilling at home, playing a video game together, and then my date cooks my favorite food for me? And washes the dishes too please 😂
