Google's new Search Console filter separates image-led searches from text searches. More links in AI Overviews still don't guarantee external clicks. Keep impressions, citations, and paid placements in different columns. Issue 36 makes image-led search measurable. thevisibilityreport.com

Ahrefs found a sharp CTR loss among French sites most exposed to AI Overviews. Le Monde reported no abrupt total-audience decline. Issue 35 explains why both findings can be true. thevisibilityreport.com

I showed Meta’s Muse to my trainer on Monday. Two days later, he showed me this strength-program app. He isn’t a developer. He built it by talking to Muse. OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude, and ChatGPT are power tools. Muse may be how AI agents reach everyone else.

An "AI visibility" average can hide the engine that changed. Issue 34 covers Wikipedia's estimated referral loss after AI Overviews, GEO tests across six platforms, citation volatility, and why smaller engines still deserve tracking. thevisibilityreport.com

Meta may have found the AI agent everyday users might try. In under five minutes, I connected Muse to two calendars, five email accounts, Instagram, Facebook and ClickUp. Setup was almost suspiciously easy. Maybe Meta's installed base wins this one. muse.ai

People are so afraid of “me” that they use “I” everywhere. Quick test: Remove the other person. “Send it to Susan and I” becomes “Send it to I.” Nope. It’s “Send it to Susan and me.” Between you and me, “between you and I” needs to go.

AI search reporting needs separate layers for presence, readiness, and business impact. Appearance, citation share, and recommendation need their own measures inside presence. More in Visibility #32: thevisibilityreport.com

AI search visibility is splitting into new surfaces. This week: Google source personalization, longer AI Mode queries, generated interfaces, ChatGPT ads, and YouTube as source material. Benchmark prompts, citations, ads, and generated tools before it shifts again. thevisibilityreport.com

AI search visibility is no longer one surface. This week: Google updates AI Mode, OpenAI complicates crawler access, and AI Max gets a migration timeline. Benchmark prompts, citations, logs, and campaign data before rollouts muddy the baseline. thevisibilityreport.com

Your page can rank on Google and get skipped by AI Mode. Here's why: Google says it breaks a question into "a multitude" of sub-queries (outside analyses put it around 8-12), searches each one. Learn more: www.searchinfluence.com/blog/what-i…

“Ubiquity equals probability” has been a useful shorthand. If AI tools are going to understand who you are and what you know, one perfect page is not enough. Repeated, attributable signals matter: site, profiles, video, social, examples, quotes, mentions.

A login is not onboarding. It is account provisioning. The useful AI work starts when a team chooses one real workflow, gives the model context, sets boundaries, and builds a review loop. The tool is not the hard part anymore.

Will Scott @willscott.bsky.social · 29/06/2026
I’m going to spend a few posts this week on AI onboarding. Main point: access is not adoption. A team can have the tools and still not have a workflow. The real work is context, boundaries, review, and using corrections to improve the process next time.

Ranking #1 is useful. It is not a guarantee that AI systems will cite you. AI search pulls from a messier source layer than most dashboards show. I pulled the SMX Advanced data into a short carousel here: willscott.me/2026/06/04/smx-advance…

I don’t think AI means everyone becomes a manager. A lot of the work is still work: checking, editing, improving, and deciding whether the output is worth using. That’s less management and more QA.

Google's AI reporting and the UK-forced opt-out path belong side by side. If publishers can choose whether to appear in AI answers, they need data. If Google wants participation, it needs to show value. This week's Visibility Report: thevisibilityreport.com

Notes from #SMX Advanced Ranking helps, but it does not explain AI citations. A #1 Google ranking is not a receipt for AI visibility. AI systems do not all cite the same source universe. You are no longer optimizing one page for one phrase and assuming the rest follows.

Three practical AI moves for sales and marketing: 1. Map the funnel. 2. Improve top-of-funnel creative rotation. 3. Compare paid and organic data to find coverage gaps. Tool second. Funnel first.
