Reposted by Willow (GHOST)Willow (GHOST) @willow.sh · 27/09/2026Porffor Alpha 9 and above now supports ESM natively, so no more pre-bundling 🎉 My @gleam.run cli patch (see above thread) still supports older Porffor versions by parsing the version to detect whether pre-bundling is still required. You can also now provide a path to a non-global porf install. 151
Willow (GHOST) @willow.sh · 27/09/2026I created a little shell script that can download the Porffor binary you want which you can use with the `--porf` argument. It's hard coded to Linux (I use Arch btw), but it's a couple character change if you use something ~~worse~~ else github.com/ghostdevv/do... 000
Willow (GHOST) @willow.sh · 27/09/2026Wasm support unfortunately broke again after Alpha 6, but you'll now be warned if you're using a Porffor version that is broken or hasn't been tested (although I don't currently distinguish between the two) 100

Willow (GHOST) @willow.sh · 23/09/2026get involved. It's not immediately clear to me why the Summit lineup would be so homogenous, other than the obvious lack of diversity within tech as a whole, so I'm always looking for more perspectives especially if people feel disenfranchised, unwelcome, uncomfortable, etc 040
Willow (GHOST) @willow.sh · 23/09/2026If you have any ideas let me know! We actually have a group, SvelteSirens, with the goal to help promote diversity but it's been inactive for a bit - it's been on my mind for a bit now to revive it, but I need more thoughts on what we can do to help ensure equal opportunities and encourage people to 170

Willow (GHOST) @willow.sh · 21/09/2026I got the 16 initially because I hadn't really worked from a laptop before and I wanted a bigger screen - but long story short it was stolen and so I bought a 13 and haven't looked back the build quality is great, it's so much more portable, and it feels more powerful somehow 120

Willow (GHOST) @willow.sh · 20/09/2026via workspaces - so the tiling experience for me is very simple, but still infinitely better than having windows floating around the place 110
Willow (GHOST) @willow.sh · 20/09/2026I've not used i3/sway so I don't super have a point of comparison, before Niri I used GNOME with pop shell to add tiling and before that just floating windows. I guess with Niri I only really use one window or two on the same screen, and occasionally the scrolling feature - most of my management is- 100
Willow (GHOST) @willow.sh · 20/09/2026I wonder why it feels that way - to me it feels like tiling proper but I also never used i3/sway 000
