Supporting trans kids is so easy when you’re in their actual life. The bullies in the White House and Supreme Court think the State should be used to destroy them instead. Fuck them. We will find ways to support them anyway ✨

When I left the discipline, I was one of two trans femmes of color with a PhD in philosophy and I could not see, or even imagine, a department that would hire me. Leaving ended up being on of my best decisions, an opportunity to leave an abusive relationship on my own terms.

Life of the Mother
When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, doctors warned that women would die, but lawmakers who passed state abortion bans didn’t listen. The worst consequences are now becoming clear.

If you open the anti-trans HHS report’s appendix in NotePad, you’ll see that it was compiled by Alex Byrne. The appendix is a rigorous, scientific overview of systematic reviews. Alex Byrne is an MIT philosophy professor with no apparent background in science, let alone expertise in it.

McBride is a silent soldier, even if she wears a different uniform. She’ll never be Raquel Willis or directly contribute to the thinking and politics of our liberation movement. Stop getting your heart broken hoping for her to be something else and start realizing she’s still useful to our cause.

Willow Starr @willow-starr.bsky.social · 29/03/2025
Honeys, she’s hoping she can work on that other 71% and those working class folks that see us as a pity-cause of the philanthropy class. Who else stands a chance of moving them? Not the elite trans thought leaders.

Willow Starr @willow-starr.bsky.social · 29/03/2025
Yes, she’s been useless in directly resisting Trump’s anti-trans rampage, and directly confronting open transphobia in Congress (cough, Nancy ‘Tr@**y’ Mace). Yes, she’s signaling it’s forgivable to hold anti-trans positions, as many non-elite Americans do.

Willow Starr @willow-starr.bsky.social · 29/03/2025
Among the problems facing trans people is that only 29% of adults know a trans person (Dataforprogress) and advocacy for trans people is socially read as a cause for elite liberals. Enter Sarah McBride the moderate veteran who will not talk about anything other than the needs of working families.

PSA: Sarah McBride isn’t part of the trans/gender liberation movement. She’s a centrist Democrat who happens to be trans. Here’s why she’s an asset to our movement and how to stop having your heart broken by her 🧵 #trans #sarahmcbride #trump #politics #democrats
