An unusual visitor in Nelson today - leopard seal. Spent ages trying to educate people to leave it in peace. Very frustrating that some people have no common sense. (Photo taken by from Ray Wiblin).

This coming election, I want a govt who actually care for all people, use our tax money wisely to lift everyone up, spend it on tangible outcomes: health, education, housing, healthy ecosystems/ healthy biodiversity. Meanwhile back down here on earth dreams are free. I won't hold my breath.

💚 Happy World Wildlife Day! 💚 Today, we celebrate the incredible diversity and beauty of all wildlife and the importance of protecting wildlife for future generations. Here's a wee pic of the two orphaned tūī in my care, they're growing up fast.

This orphaned tūī chick has come into my care. Definitely a male given the weight and size. l love rehabbing native birds. They are put together so perfectly, the feathers, the colours etc A joy to behold.

This juvenile pied cormorant came to me for rehabilitation after being found entwined in fishing line. After some tlc and lots of fish, it's back in the wild where it belongs.
