Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

IMHO, The Railway station one - because of all the atmosphere, the visuals, and *Their* actions - and yes, the final story, with that indelible final image

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Can someone just give Gabby the Pulitzer NOW

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

The excellent @bobfischer.bsky.social interviewed me about Solace House, Broken Veil and, um, 90s monastery pop pioneers Enigma, for the Haunted Generation website. and here it is! hauntedgeneration.co.uk

Well the Call My Agent movie was superb. And the ending was perfect. And I love all of them.

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Today's schedule is already packed to the rafters so I could really do without my mysterious green orb going missing. Anyone seen it?

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Precisely this.

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

This is why working with Joel is great. We are very much on the same (pre-designed) page on these things. Visualisation is a basic magic but it DOES work

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Guys Penda’s Fen is on BBC Four at 10.15. If you’ve never seen it, you are in for a revelatory experience. If you have seen it, why not watch it again, to remind yourself of the extraordinary things television can do

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Absolutely loved Coyote Vs Acme. Great Pepe le Pew joke in there too. And who’d have bet on Looney Tunes Peter Lorre making a comeback?!

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Yes!! Solace House is coming to the US in October!

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

I would not inflict that on you! Hope the story you’re writing is coming on?

Also your photos are ASTOUNDING

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Thank you! I wrote a really pompous answer to this about creating and process and then deleted it because it’s just nice to know people get it

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

No thank YOU - It’s just lovely to see people “get” it, to know that I could have answered more questions but chose not to. It makes me so happy

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Ah you guys are the absolute best! Thank you, it’s so lovely to see you love it like this!

Make your favorite film sound as boring as possible without giving away the title: The staff of an Antarctic research station encounter some bumps in the road after adopting a dog

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

HAHAHA

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

It’s a masterpiece, I think. I prefer it to Clyde Bruckman… because there’s just something delightful in being so playful with the mythology. Without damaging it! (CB’s FR is great, though)

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

This is out NOW! Or maybe it’s just the Planet Venus? (IYKYK)…

“It was the day I signed a million-legged faster-than-light invisible striker who embodied the concept of “football” in eleven dimensions when I first realised that I, and the other people in my Fantasy Football League, apprehended the word “fantasy” very very differently”.

The Proclaimers walk 500 miles. Then they walk 500 more. On the way, they run into Vanessa Carlton, going the other way. Slight nod of the head of acknowledgement, slight flicker of a smile. Then back to the walking.

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

The relief that you’re enjoying it! It never goes away, that relief.

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Thanks Tom! Hopefully the re-read should turn up a few clues…

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Absolutely, absolutely, this.

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Electrocute a coot. Disembowel an owl.

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

It’s TRUE. For a limited time, you can buy the critically lauded second season of Broken Veil, for a one-off payment. Immerse yourself in the strange.

Don't come to book club and say "no spoilers please, I haven't finished it yet." The whole point of the evening is to discuss the book and you're only on chapter 5? Piss off!

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

Let’s not have a repeat of the 1962 match against Argentina where Borges, playing midfield, opened up an infinite library which contained every possible book ever written, pushing the game into some serious extra time. I’m *so* the natural audience for sport it’s amazing

Will Maclean @willmac23.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

This has "Shit Show" in it, right? I recall that song but not the storyline you mentioned.
