Becoming a WordPress plugin minimalist has been very freeing! My goal when putting together a website is at MAXIMUM, you'd have maybe 10 plugins. But the larger goal is to keep you at 5, and that's including the page builder. No website needs 20+ plugins.

Slider Revolution is one of the most bloated plugins you could use on your website. If you want to slow your website down, sure use it. But if you want even half decent page speeds, avoid using Slider Revolution at all costs.

Pushback is not a form of disrespect. If an employee pushes back, why not ask them if they know of a better way to do the request? If you get upset with pushback, that's more of a "you" problem. Believe me, I know but I've grown from it. Always take pushback as a way to grow.
