William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 27/06/2026Don't believe in Climate Change, your air conditioner does if you live in Texas. Cooling degree days are the number of degrees that the daily average temperature rises above 65 degrees Fahrenheit (°F) and the US Energy Information Administration tracks that information per month. 100
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 25/06/2026🚨 Pay Attention - US Natural Gas storage level are 49 billion cubic feet of natural gas less than last year and the trends show this will get worse. Natural gas prices are too low and this is not a good sign. In April, US storage was 142 BCF above last year, we are falling behind. 011
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 20/06/2026The reality of the Strait of Hormuz. Bad news, Iran has discovered a way to control the world economy that gives them more power than a nuclear weapon. Don't like it - the only way the US can stop it is invade with ground troops and take the northern coast of the Strait. #hormuz #IranWar 100
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 19/06/2026Republicans can claim that renewables are bad, but the growth of renewables within Texas has kept ERCOT from having blackouts. But Democrats are no better with their demonization of fossil fuels and payout of tax credits for renewables when we are trillions of dollars in national debt. 100
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 17/06/2026Someone explain this to me. US Crude Oil stockpiles (Strategic Reserves and Commercial) dropped by 17.2 million barrels from June 5th to June 12th and oil price today is $77/barrel. 758 million barrels in US stockpiles is a level not seen since 1985, when US oil consumption 3/4 of what it is today. 010
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 12/06/2026People are making a big deal about solar power exceeding coal supplied electricity, Texas #ERCOT says hold my beer. Solar generated power exceeded coal for most of 2025. The big story, wind and solar are now on track to exceed natural gas supplied electricity. 110
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 10/06/2026EIA releases US Petroleum stockpile data every week - For June 5th Crude Oil Commercial & SPR - down 15.2 million barrels to 775.7. That was last Friday, at that rate of decline by this Friday, June 12th we will be at 760 million barrels which is the lowest stockpile volume since 1985. #USOil 242

William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 20/04/2026China once again proving they have better strategic planning than the US. Sitting on 1.4 billion barrels of crude oil in their strategic reserves versus the US at 413 shows they were ready for a Middle East war. 011
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 19/04/2026Pay Attention - US Domestic Oil Production is plateauing and all the predictions show it will go into decline. At the same time the national debt will $40 trillion by the time we vote in November. Time to stop fighting the culture wars and start #FixingAmerica. 000

William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 19/03/2026Why is the Iran War impacting US Gasoline prices? - Let me explain. - The US produced 13.7 million barrels per day for the week ending March 13th, making us the largest oil producer in the world. But US refineries consumed 16.2 million barrels per day of crude oil. 🧵 100
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 12/03/2026It's not inflation concerns - mortgage rates are tied to the bond market and the Treasury bond rates are going up. This is national debt and the fact that we are spending billions waging a war with no plan. #Balancethebudget 000

William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 18/02/2026@houstonpublicmedia.bsky.social - Thank for a wonderful News and Brews event at Saint Arnolds Brewing Company. Great meeting the staff and wonderful meeting a lot of people that supported an Independent running for Congress. And we got excellent beer glasses. 011
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 11/02/2026Thanks to William Beach for his presentation at the @bakerinstitute.bsky.social tonight. I learned a new term #FiscalDominance when the national deficit forces the central bank to service the debt and inflation runs rampant. Look it up on @wikipedia.org. 010
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 29/12/2025People on another social media site asked about gasoline prices and how administrations affected it. The reality is the price of a barrel of oil is the biggest drive of gasoline prices and that is Trump's reason for trying to keep oil below $60/barrel even when it harms US production. 010
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 27/12/2025Pay Attention - Texas Oil Production peaked in October 2024 and is now down by over 400k barrels per day. This is due to low oil prices, but it is also due to all the easy acreage is drilled, we only have the more expensive stuff left. This will be the issue of 2026. 000

William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 14/11/2025Ron, not to justify Trump's behavior, but if you look at market price of gasoline, this is the price leaving the refineries, before you add in taxes, transportation, and distribution costs, yes they are down to $2. But you and I will never pay that price. 010
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 01/07/2025Wonder why you haven't heard any more "drill, baby, drill". It's because the Oil & Gas people are now talking shale plateau followed by decline. Not sure what is going on? Look up Hubbert's Peak on Wikipedia, we have been here before. 110
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 17/05/2025Apologies on the grammar and Fitch was 2023 and Standard and Poors was 2011 during Obama. The point is the national debt has been by both parties and that is the core issue. Yes Trump is the trigger, but both parties created the debt bomb. 100
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 17/05/2025Any comment on the 2012 lowering by Fitch during Obama’s term? Apologies for the grammar in the original post. My point is this isn’t a Trump thing it is a national debt thing which both parties have done. @muellershewrote.com 010
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 17/05/2025Now do how much debt they ran up. Both parties have failed us @georgetakei.bsky.social 000

William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 19/04/2025I didn’t stress enough why this is a big deal. EIA’s latest report shows a US domestic production peaking in 2027 and then going into decline. The 2023 report showed the exact opposite, a flat production going to 2050. It’s a huge change. 120
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 10/02/2025Enjoyed presenting my book “Fixing America” to the Texas Realtors meeting n Austin, Texas. William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 06/02/2025Your comparing Trumps debt to the debt when he took office. When you add in Biden’s debt its about 23%. This is the real picture. 50% during Republican presidents and 50% during Democrats. 010
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 06/02/2025To put what Trump and Musk are doing in context. No oil company would hand the software keys of its oil platform safety systems to anyone. Period. “Move fast and break things” works for social media software, but not for critical things where people’s lives depend on it. 032
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 15/01/2025Save your money, the whole reason they post that is they can’t talk about the hard policy choices like a national debt of $36 trillion equally to blame on both Republicans and Democrats. 000
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 15/01/2025@hcrichardson.bsky.social @virginiahall32.bsky.social This one is a little more accurate and the overall split is 50/50 R vs D. #fixingamerica 040
William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 11/01/2025So Trump’s desire to rename the Gulf of Mexico triggered me and I need to explain why. I’m an engineer and in the 1990s was doing a project in the Gulf, a large oil/gas development. When they drilled the initial oil wells there was a problem and they needed to move the project over 3 miles. 🧵1 130

William Taggart @williamtaggart.org · 26/11/2024In the 19 states that voted for Harris by more than 4%, we see a massive drop in voting. A drop of over 4 million less votes than in 2020. It was a 4.7 million drop for Harris and a half a million increase for Trump. This produced a red shift in the victory margins. /5 111
