Saw the first swallows of the year on a walk to Brisworthy stone circle today and was very pleased to make a few calls from this free to use (domestic landlines and mobiles only) K6 in Meavy. The K6 also contained this moth which I thought was a Willow Beauty but fairly sure it’s an Engrailed.

Just called and someone actually picked up! They sounded a bit spun out and I was spun out that they picked up, so I just told them I wanted to check the phone was still there and working fine, which it was, and I wished them a good evening. They sounded pleased to be of service.

Just been ringing round some favourite Highlands & Islands telephone kiosks to check they’re still there. It's been a mixed bag but these two classics still ring out. Ullapool is next to the seafood shack and had no door so you might get someone to pick up.
