William Arnold @williamarnold.bsky.social · 04/10/2026The people of Mousehole are apparently stuffing their other phone box with books that the charity shop wouldn’t take. If you’re visiting please make a call out of the one with a working phone. It needs 52 calls or you’ll likely not see it lit up at Christmas 030 3

William Arnold @williamarnold.bsky.social · 17/05/2026Brittany Ferries just confiscated my Swiss Army knife. I’d had that thing 15 years and been back and forth multiple times on the ferry with it. Oddly, my large glass bottles of Breton Cidre are totally fine. What are you supposed to do if going camping as a foot passenger these days? 000 0

William Arnold @williamarnold.bsky.social · 18/04/2026Quite pleased with the picture I got of this early mining bee with my phone, the kind that still has a home button. 000 0
William Arnold @williamarnold.bsky.social · 12/04/2026Saw the first swallows of the year on a walk to Brisworthy stone circle today and was very pleased to make a few calls from this free to use (domestic landlines and mobiles only) K6 in Meavy. The K6 also contained this moth which I thought was a Willow Beauty but fairly sure it’s an Engrailed. 020 2

William Arnold @williamarnold.bsky.social · 09/04/2026Went to see the Mark Jenkin film Rose of Nevada and Q&A. Even I realised that people might not appreciate air time being taken with a question about whether the K6 featured in the village still had functional telephony so I looked it up when I got home, and it does. It’s in Gwinear. Good film BTW. 110 1
William Arnold @williamarnold.bsky.social · 09/04/2026Just called and someone actually picked up! They sounded a bit spun out and I was spun out that they picked up, so I just told them I wanted to check the phone was still there and working fine, which it was, and I wished them a good evening. They sounded pleased to be of service. 000 0

William Arnold @williamarnold.bsky.social · 18/04/2025Definitely two camps on phone box Facebook - those who like the kiosks and don’t care if they’re full of shit books and those like me who feel like the entire essence is stripped once the phone is removed. 000 0
William Arnold @williamarnold.bsky.social · 16/04/2025Took about an hour and twenty minutes, a few nice chats and a fair few straight to answerphone but that’s 52 calls made today from Zennor phone box and OFCOM can’t now let BT take the phone away. Thank you. 040 4

William Arnold @williamarnold.bsky.social · 18/02/2025Just been ringing round some favourite Highlands & Islands telephone kiosks to check they’re still there. It's been a mixed bag but these two classics still ring out. Ullapool is next to the seafood shack and had no door so you might get someone to pick up. 120 2
