All over Pennsylvania today: listening to local residents & getting my teeth stuck into issues 🌱 Priory Rd play park fenced off, maintenance declined & lights down. Why are Labour nowhere to be seen? Such an opportunity to ensure all residents can enjoy the green space, I'm keen to make it happen.

Excellent time out door-knocking this evening after work with a couple of others in Pennsylvania. For first time ever EVERY door I knocked someone answered! Great reception ☺ Lots of issues raised to take forward including on potholes! Reported this one & pleased the Higher Kings one nearby fixed.

Funding for our libraries from Devon County Council will INCREASE following our budget yesterday. This is thanks to our team's hard work and commitment to libraries. It's clear libraries are valuable community and learning spaces - we want to ensure they're on as sustainable a footing as possible.

Labour are out of ideas for Exeter. They know their time in office is up. So they're running scared of the electorate. Don't let Labour take away your right to vote sign the petition here: exeterlibdems.org.uk/LetExeterVote
Labour-run Exeter City Council's Report Card. X £10m+ lost on their failed housing company and £50m+ wasted on their city centre vanity projects. X Littered streets, worst recycling rate in the South West, locals priced out of the city. X Cancelled elections so they can hide from the public.

In July 2025, we asked confirmation from Exeter Labour they wouldn't cancel the 2026 local elections. They said they wouldn't. Now the Labour Govt has scandalously decided to invite 60 councils (including Exeter) to cancel their elections this May, we hope Exeter Labour won't go back on their word.

Complained again to the BBC over its bias for Reform UK. He's on their news almost every single time, but heard nothing on his hypocritical stamp duty tax dodging 🧐 Hopefully more than a weak, flawed, limited copy & paste response this time...
Will's official complaint to the BBC sent on Sunday, which says:
"Your programme should hold Farage to account like you would for any politician. But you repeatedly promote his views disproportionately, treat Reform like a quirky party that deserves absurd coverage of their every action instead of a normal party, and don't challenge him or ask tough questions of him and his party.

The latest example is stamp duty. There was days of relentless media pressure over the issue for Rayner. Fair enough , she was a government minister. But she did seek advice and believe she was doing the right thing. Whereas Farage boasted about dodging stamp duty (£44k) for his second home in Claxton. Before you say but we can let him get away with it and give him a free pass because he's not a government minister - he is on your programme, BBC News, MORE than Rayner. I would never even vote Labour but your bias is obvious and sickening. Is this double standard because Rayner is from a working class background whereas Farage will give your bosses, Tim Davie and the like, a big higher-rate income tax cut? That's what it presents like. Chris Mason's article promoting Reform yesterday is yet another example. Please do some proper journalism, stand up for yourselves, and ask/highlight the tricky questions."

This is fucking insane. The BBC is adjusting output to “win back” Reform voters while ex-Tory spin doctor, Gibb, sits on its board. That’s not public service or impartiality - it’s interference. Bending over for Farage puts the BBC in the gutter with the Daily Mail. bylinetimes.com/2025/06/09/b...

I've had enough of the BBC's blatant and repeated bias, disproportionately promoting a party with just 5 MPs. What can we do about it? Do what Brits do best: complain. The more complaints they receive, the more likely they are to do something about it. www.bbc.co.uk/contact/comp...

I know from friends, family & door-knocking, PIP disability benefits are already dangerously too hard to claim. Yet Labour propose cuts. It's abhorrent to save from amongst our most vulnerable whilst inequality continues to rise. I’ve written to Exeter’s MP to make the case & clarify his position:

Donald Trump will, no doubt, spend the coming months and years undoing Biden's reforms. Just like previously, Biden reversed the changes made by Trump, who in turn dismantled Obama's legacy. That's what FPTP leads to: not stability but a chaotic cycle of policy lurches.

Since Labour slashed Exeter's street cleansing budget, regular sweeper teams are restricted to the centre. This leaves many areas of our city neglected; fuelling build-up of litter, creating a hazard for wildlife, wheels, paws & people. You can still report littering: exeter.gov.uk/clean-safe-c...
