I love inbox zero, it feels so good! No way am I doing that with email, eww. Physical inbox zero though??? Yes! Any incoming paper stuff goes there until I decide to process it. Means I don’t have mail and other paper things cluttering my desk.

File folder holder mounted to the wall with manilla folder inside it labelled “Inbox” with a sharpie hanging off the right side of the holder. A second file folder holder is just above this one but only partially shows in the photo.

Just preparing some old OSX .iso files to burn to CD for some projects. And playing around with ubiquity stuff.

2010 MacBook Pro with terminal open showing commands to convert .dmg files to .iso files with finder windows showing a mix of OSX .dmg and .iso files. Then a monitor showing a ubiquity network server dashboard on a computer running Debian with the KDE desktop environment. On the right an iMac running another Linux distro with the KDE desktop environment with webpage open as a reference for the commands ran on the MacBook Pro. The rectangular object immediately in front of the iMac is a hard drive “toaster”. You put hard drives in it and can mount them on a computer cause that device can connect to a computer via USB. It can also block level clone a drive to another.

So has anyone figured out how to de-root evangelical fundamentalism out of them selves? I’d love some advice, that toxicity got some deep brainworm hooks into me. This book is helping.

From chapter four about 1 hr 34 minutes in Sonia Sotomayor’s “My Beloved World”. Source: the audiobook on Libby. This quote struck fire and resonates so deeply. That pain and long shadow of abandonment…something to guard and work against. And to not cause to anyone

Screenshot of the full quote. Chapter 4 near the end, Sonia discusses the time her and her mother went to visit her mother’s father in the hospital in Puerto Rico. He had abandoned Sonia’s mother at birth and the pain from that cast a long shadow through both lives.

Baked some kale chips! Tossed them in a bowl with olive oil, sea salt, furikake, and some Italian dressing then baked at 350 for like 20 minutes.

My 2012 Mac mini didn’t want to output sound over hdmi to the tv so I followed this arch wiki thread (bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.ph... ) and built a script to force the audio to work. Did this awhile ago while drunk (hi im Sophie), and want to share in case it helps anyone

The holiday lights at the Taiwanese Pagoda (www.pagodagarden.org) in downtown Norfolk VA turn a beautiful monument into a breathtaking nighttime sight. I love it!

Green and white Christmas style lights adorning a Taiwanese designed and assembled pagoda that was a friendship gift from Taiwan to Norfolk, Virginia and the United States in the 1980s. Beautiful in photo and stunning in person.

Happy fall colors (it seems the leaves turned later this year than usual) from Norfolk, Virginia!

Landscape photograph taken via a smartphone from a 6th floor parking garage in Norfolk Virginia, with wispy clouds present in the sky, overlooking the city’s historic Ghent neighbourhood with tree tops and their leaves turned colors due to the season visible and a mix of older buildings visible in between the trees.

iOS’ keyboard does not have a horny emoji…this makes me deeply sad. I checked an old Pixel and don’t see one present in stock Android either.

Distinct lack of horny emoji in stock android on an older google pixel.

Redid our gaming corner! Still todo: run Ethernet to everything via my girlfriend’s nearby Cisco switch. Can switch between any console using the hdmi matrix switch and one tv input or any computer (includes steam deck or iPad they both can use the same dock) using the kvm on another tv input.

Messy unorganised gaming corner with TV and multiple consoles and computers.

Past me put like 4 different OSes on here (Mac Pro 5,1) because we didn’t have separate workstations for Linux and server stuff nor windows stuff. We have those now so looking forward to redoing this…completely. Thank goodness for OpenCore!
