Makes me think of a kolachi. A fig filled one sounds awesome.

Several flavors of kolachi pastry. It is a rolled log of dough with filling. Pictured appears to be from left to right poppy seed, raspberry, blueberry (?), and walnut.

Really like what you did with this years transparency detail with the glasses. The geometry of the facets was a cool detail though (sent live from my local Oktoberfest in Central PA)

I’m pretty ashamed that I even considered for a moment getting Popeyes chicken while I was in arguably the food capital of America: New Orleans. In fairness that is its hometown.

In my top 3 regrettable internet interests (next to a 12 year career on 4chan and being into Homestuck). Harmionie being remade into an indestructible anime waifu was pretty inspired schlock.

It’s kinda funny that I live out in the country but there’s a winery about 1.5miles away that has a setup for outdoor concerts so on the weekends I can distantly hear stuff like higher-end Led Zeppelin cover bands. Rarely I’ve been woken up by farm equipment at like 1am too.

Aside from classic posters & good podcasters support your favorite niche artists.

My ballot for most influential bluesky posters. Left column top to bottom: Bloodwork (the podcast), Discontinued Foods, Hideo Kojima, nerdjpg, subzerofrog. Right column top to bottom: Cait, Godiva Ghoul, Murder Bryan, Elizabeth Spindlypete, & Jon Darnell of The Mountain Goats.

My favorite part is the high school art gallery. Kids are still out there anachronistically drawing in the ‘How to Draw Anime’ style and it warms my heart. Someone drew a pretty good Dracula Flow last year and that floored me.

A pointillism (?) portrait of ‘King Drac’ from the YouTube sensation Dracula Flow.

Maybe find one of those balloons that are on a rubber band that you kind of punch away from you like a paddle ball? That way it scratches that fun thing on a tether itch but it's something you can't whip around. The sound will be annoying though.

My favorite move from that time was putting happy meal toys in the feet of old stockings and swinging them around rope dart/meteor hammer style. It just feels good as hell to swing things around.

When I was doing a marathon Christmas cookie baking session last year I watched a couple Christmas ones of these. Half the jokes/bits still hit imo. Still got absolutely bodied by the Cher Christmas variety show though.

Very happy with the texture although the next time I make it it’d probably be better with an addition of xanthin gum.

In my dating profiles I usually have something like ‘5’8”+ preferred’ or something partly to filter, partly to underline I’m 6’4” for real. The girl I’d fallen hardest for was a crisp 4’10” though, so go figure.

This turned out awesome! I think the texture from spreading it looks better than getting it smooth from a cake pedestal in this case. Getting a locking one was definitely a good investment imo but I make cakes all the time. That blue icing is probably gonna have alarming results later though.

Made my own birthday cake because I have high standards. It’s a blueberry lemon layer cake 🍽️. More importantly, happy Confederate Surrender Day 🇺🇸

A 8” round, 2 layer blueberry lemon cake I made myself for my birthday. The top of the cake has radially alternating blueberries & rosettes of icing. The icing’s general color is pale yellow. On the side of the cake dabs of blueberry sauce were dabbed & smeared to create a marbled effect. The bottom edge of the cake has a basic piped pattern. The cake itself is a lemon batter with blueberries baked in and there is a layer of blueberry jam between layers. I got the recipe off the King Arthur Baking website.
