The idea of growing and yet still so fragile is a bit of a disappointment. Each of us is special in our own way. We got stronger, we grew wings, yet there are some moment we wondered if it's all for nothing.

There are times we fly up, chest out, face up facing the light, nothing can stop us. And there are times we find ourselves being like this. That's life. We don't know what's strength, if never went through weakness, we won't value happiness, if we have it all the time.

I'm still in the process of finding my own black and white style and cutting down the tools to bare minimum, this one for example was done using fingers to smudge. Which was a bad idea, the working surface is very small.

Honest mistake

Top: Parker looks over curiously at an offscreen passerby who tells her, "Your bra strap is showing."

Bottom: Parker says "Huh? Oh, nah, it's part of the shirt." and unexpectedly lifts her entire shirt to demonstrate, displaying her bare breasts to the passerby in the process. They are implied to be left confused and blushing at this sight.

I recently got my hand on charcoal powder/toner thing, and it’s very black. In combination with a sponge, I made a very black background and use the eraser to start carving the figure out of it.
