Month 1 of a 6-month solo sprint on WildscapeMuse. This week: no new features, just the unglamorous logic that reads a lot's real orientation, sun & drainage from measured data. Anyone can wrap a plant list in AI; the moat is the grounding work underneath. NVIDIA GTC Berlin next week 🌱✈️
My actual frontyard, a former lawn slowly transforming into a native plant haven. Slowly growing and filling in.My backyard, a different approach, the idea is to leave nature be and let things grow. Mulched paths keep dust and mud down and give our dogs plenty of room to play. And look Ma, no mowing!

🍂 Fall is the best time to plant in the PNW, and what you plant now decides who visits this winter. Anna's hummingbirds nest here in January, if they find the right natives... New blog 🔗https://www.wildscapemuse.com/blog #AnnasHummingbird #PNWGardening #NativePlants #FallPlanting #WinterHabitat

🍂 That "messy" fall garden? It's actually a 5-star hotel for native bees, birds & salamanders. Leaf litter = insulation. Standing stems = shelter for 30% of bee species. Your rake can wait, wildlife can't. Learn what to do instead: wildscapemuse.com/blog #LeaveTheLeaves #PNWGardening #NativePlants

🌿 Native gardens aren't just pretty, they're underground engineering marvels. Root networks + soil fungi absorb 40% more stormwater than lawns during PNW downpours. Nature's been perfecting this for 10,000 years. 💚 New Blog: www.wildscapemuse.com/blog #NativePlants #PNWGardening #Ecology

🌿 Your August garden checklist: Do absolutely nothing. Stop pruning (birds need those seed heads), let your lawn go golden, and just sit & observe where shade falls. That's the data you need for fall planting. We're logging off for August too. See you in September! #PNW #NativeGardening

🙅‍♂️ We're opting out of the "Always On" arms race. WildscapeMuse is going dormant for August, no posts, no updates, just rest. The platform runs, but we're offline protecting our internal soil biology. Gardens don't need to be perfect this month. 🌾 #RestAsResistance #SustainableBusiness

🌾 Even resilient ecosystems need rest. WildscapeMuse is going dormant this August, no new features, quiet socials, emergency support only. We're practicing what we preach: growth requires rest. Strengthening our roots to return ready in September. 🌿 #FounderRest #SeasonalDormancy

Honestly, it's the whole thing. As soon as someone mentions 'replace lawn with native plants' all sorts of alarms and feelings come up. It's going to take some time and lots of education 😊

Your comment is much appreciated, I know this is your wheelhouse and your website has tons of great resources on how to deal with HOAs in every state. I hope that more people will learn how to push back and not let outdated rules hold them back from going native.

🏡 WA HOAs can't force you to keep water-guzzling lawns anymore, but they CAN require sight lines, noxious weed removal & tidy edges. Strategy beats conflict every time. Full legal breakdown: zurl.co/EMjC4 #WashingtonGardening #NativePlants #HOALaw #DontmowGrow

🛑 Got an HOA letter demanding you rip out your native plants? In Washington State, that might be illegal. RCW 64.38.057 protects your right to drought-resistant & pollinator-friendly yards. Your HOA can't force turf on you. Read: zurl.co/jVfMf 🌿 #LawnAlternatives #HOARights #NativePlantsPNW
