I lived in the suburbs and Banyan was in downtown Vancouver. I used to get on a bus and take the long ride there. My mother would have had a fit if she knew lol. But I wasn't sneaking off to the city to get in trouble. I was literally just going to a bookstore. 😂

New pier in Bellingham was crowded this weekend. It would have been better it they had made it as wide as the White Rock pier....but they were building on an existing structure, so I guess they were limited.

I had finally found Banyan Books in Vancouver and then they circulated those leaflets about Little Sisters like "we need to fight this or they will come for us" and I was so scared that the one place I could be me would be taken away. Banyan was my first "home" as a witch.

"kids these days" 😀 they don't even understand their privilege. I had it a bit harder being in Canada. The first book I ever found was on a trip to the US. We had issues with customs labeling some books as obscene when they were imported. I still remember the whole Little Sisters bookstore thing.

You and I are right in the same exact time frame and age when we started. I kept all my witch books and paraphernalia in a duffle bag that I could padlock closed lol. I was sneaking out to the witchy bookstore instead of the usual things teens sneak out to.

I went to the beach see the new pier this afternoon and I found some live oysters a little far away from the water so I relocated them to the water line. On the pier I leaned over and spotted a pigeon. I told him he was pretty and asked where all his pidgy friends are.

The ravens were gone all winter, but now that it's spring they are back. On was sitting in the tree across the he street asking the local crow family where they had their nest so the ravens could feed their babies. The crows wouldn't give up the Intel and dive bombed the raven until it left.

You should see the eyes of a captive bred iguana light up when instead of a bowl of salad and pellets, it suddenly sees a big lovely bunch of flowers. They get so excited.

Iguanas are considered folivores, meaning they eat almost exclusively leafy vegetation. But flowers are like dessert for them. If I put a hibiscus plant in my iguana enclosure it would be a skeleton within a few hours lol.

No snake dreams recently but the day I walkled into the woods to initiate myself as a witch, a snake actually entered my circle and when I picked it up and put it on my altar it stayed for the whole ritual. It was pretty cool.

I have favorite trees in my neighborhood too. There is a giant Oak down at the park. When you look, you can totally find their spirits.
