I was going to skip my "vacation accrual is out of control" day this pay period but I found out today that I get another day of leave per quarter in this position, & that's retroactive to February, so let's turn off that Friday alarm, baby.

Adagio must know I've been sick because they sent me some tea samples that I intend to make immediate good use of.

The Pinehurst station opening is another thing this plague has stolen from me. (I just got the real, scan your driver's license cold meds at lunch, so I may live, or at least regain hearing in my right ear.)

Really identifying with this character who is willing to give up a huge network contract because he doesn't want to have a medical examination.

When I moved into this building a hundred years ago my lease was a couple pages and on paper, but I had to re-sign because of a new management company & now it's electronic & 133 pages 🫪

Hell yes! This better be for real (and they better add more showtimes, but I will take an afternoon off if I have to.)

Let's #firstvoyage tonight in desperate hope that I'll be well enough to go to the movies tomorrow (I doubt it but who knows.)

Tonight is Fourth Wing night at the Reign and I have no idea what this means except that a lot of people are buying co-branded merch.

We have a sharp turn to spookyszn in this week's letterboxd #lastfourwatched!

Well I was rooting for the Firebells, but it's hard to be mad about Sato killing it tonight, a beast on the mound!

Just made the adult decision to cancel tonight's movie thanks to this cold & I'm so mad about it. Maybe it's time to dig back into spookyszn.

Really great to see Out of Sight in the theater again, but the best part was probably when half of our group reverently whispered "Viola Davis!"

Last night in the Aubreyad Stephen and Diana ran into each other on the street in Bombay, which makes my story of running into a friend's little sister at the Lincoln Silver Dollar Bar much less impressive. That was only the next time zone!

Tonight on #firstvoyage we're in a cave full of spiderwebs & corpses, really leaning into spooky season. (I mean, they had some other fancy alien name for the spiderwebs but they can't fool me; I used to run a community Halloween event.)

We've officially reached the point where I get up and leave the theater when this trailer comes on.

Here's a bonus letterboxd #lastfourwatched, mostly to honor that I survived seeing them all in one day in what was essentially a glorified conference room. My kingdom for a padded seat!

I'm reading a book where a character has a sign on their office door that says NO on one side and WHAT? on the other, and if I was still in the Clerk's Office I would be making one right now.

140

jaci. @wickedjaws.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

As if Ballard were not far enough away already, I got here in plenty of time for this connection but the bus is 15 minutes late and counting. At this rate the next one will come first.

This week's letterboxd #lastfourwatched is another all-queer edition: a Japanese sort of BL, an evening at this year's SEA-Nordic festival, and the highlight, the Barbara Hammer documentary.

All these years later I'm still mad that the Deaf West production of Spring Awakening didn't end up touring. This 54 Below performance lives rent-free in my head.

I don't love that this year's SEA-Nordic film festival is in the lecture hall of the museum, because it's wildly uncomfortable, but I do love that the movies start at 6, since it takes ten years to get home from Ballard.
