This is an official notice that we will be retiring the VAC web forums on December 11, 2026 (the ten-year anniversary from when the forums were created).

While many great memories have been made on the forums, it’s become abundantly clear for years now that the current generation of voice actors prefer to chat in real-time using messaging apps such as Discord.

For a while, the forum’s main purpose has been a space for hosting guides and resources. However, as you may have noticed, we have been working diligently behind the scenes to update and move these guides over to our official website, VoiceActingClub.com. This will ensure the guides are more professional and cohesive, easy to link to, and accessible to anyone who wishes to read them.

So what happens next?

✨ The forums will remain available to be used until December 11, after which they will be archived and no longer accessible to anyone besides staff. You do not need to worry about closing your account or manually deleting your posts unless you prefer to do so.

✨ If you have any materials you wish to save (messages, casting call info, etc) please be sure to do so before this date. We cannot accommodate requests to retrieve old information afterwards.

✨ If you have written a guest article and would like to inquire about transferring your article over to the VAC website, please get in touch with me (admin) via email or Discord.
Many articles have already been moved to the website, and all relevant articles will be migrated over prior to the shutdown date. As of now the old forum article pages include a redirect link, but please be sure to update your bookmarks for sharing these articles. (The good news is that the new URLs are shorter and easier to remember for sharing!)

Most of the time, I don't play video games for pseudo hyper realism. I play them so that I can escape to a reality that is different from real life. NVIDIA'S DLSS 5 is useless for me. Plus, it doesn't look real. It looks disturbing. Have you ever heard of the uncanny valley NVIDIA?

With the way current events are going, I wish those hydrostasis tanks/chambers from sci-fi were real so that I could be put into suspended animation and awakened in the future. I prefer the water tanks because I don't like the idea of cryostasis. Freezing sucks haha.

I've been doing video game VO since 2003. In my 20+ years, only ONE game has ever paid "royalties/residuals/bonus payments." That game? Date Everything. And that's ONLY because it's a game produced by professional voice actors who purposefully created a special contract for the game w/ SAG-AFTRA.
