IMPORTANT NOTICE: CLOSING OF VAC WEB FORUMS

This is an official notice that we will be retiring the VAC web forums on December 11, 2026 (the ten-year anniversary from when the forums were created).

While many great memories have been made on the forums, it’s become abundantly clear for years now that the current generation of voice actors prefer to chat in real-time using messaging apps such as Discord.

For a while, the forum’s main purpose has been a space for hosting guides and resources. However, as you may have noticed, we have been working diligently behind the scenes to update and move these guides over to our official website, VoiceActingClub.com. This will ensure the guides are more professional and cohesive, easy to link to, and accessible to anyone who wishes to read them.

So what happens next?

✨ The forums will remain available to be used until December 11, after which they will be archived and no longer accessible to anyone besides staff. You do not need to worry about closing your account or manually deleting your posts unless you prefer to do so.

✨ If you have any materials you wish to save (messages, casting call info, etc) please be sure to do so before this date. We cannot accommodate requests to retrieve old information afterwards.

✨ If you have written a guest article and would like to inquire about transferring your article over to the VAC website, please get in touch with me (admin) via email or Discord.
Many articles have already been moved to the website, and all relevant articles will be migrated over prior to the shutdown date. As of now the old forum article pages include a redirect link, but please be sure to update your bookmarks for sharing these articles. (The good news is that the new URLs are shorter and easier to remember for sharing!)

✨ If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask in server-assistance.

We appreciate everyone who has helped build the community from the early forum days!

**VAC Official Statement on Discord Updates** Lately, we’ve received a number of inquiries from members who are - very understandably - concerned about Discord’s eventual rollout of age verification, and what that means for the future of the VAC. 1/10

Some new information has come to light regarding payroll/paperwork for international voice actors in regards to working on SAG projects (turns out we were all wrong 🤯)! Courtesy of Nancy Ward & CAVA.

I have seen a lot of newer, hopeful actors assuming that booking one big role in a popular project will be the thing that changes their life, career and financial situation. While there are always exceptions, a smarter goal is CONSISTENCY & LONGEVITY in the work you book.

Here's a whole list of things you might need to hear right now (and even if you don't, we're reminding you anyway). You exist, you matter, and you do not need to explain or justify that existence to anyone. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

There are many who will gladly take your money. These folks are ✨genuinely✨ interested in your growth as an actor. You're a voice actor - whether you started yesterday or 20 years ago. And they will do right by you. 😤❤️ go.bsky.app/RtNRG6E (I couldn't exclude myself, as I'm not a studio. 😆)
