This is funny but also truly I think there's a huge number of people who've developed such a serious dependency and driven off such a serious cognitive cliff that I don't think they could get through a normal workday

Uruguay, with 3.5 million people, generates 98% of its electricity from renewable sources. The architect of that transformation, Ramón Méndez Galain, put it simply: "The key is not technology; it is institutions. Once the rules are fair and predictable, the system builds itself."

Our solar power model isn't working — there's a fairer way
Solar lease-to-own could unlock Ireland's energy future — Uruguay, the Netherlands and Germany have all made this work with straightforward rules, writes Mary Teehan

ANY modern ICE vehicle is just as vulnerable. The type of energy used to operate the car isn't the issue. It's computerised systems and internet connectivity that are also found in modern ICE vehicles.

Pretty rotten. Even tho Pakistan avoided billions in LNG costs because of all their solar… they still have a lot of LNG dependency, legacy baked in a decade ago. Bangladesh is even worse position

I simply cannot understand why a news organisation that ON refuses to allow at their pressers persist in platforming them 5 times a day

100% If the Greens vote with Nationals' on disallowance motion on 15th Sept to stop this, they shaft the thousands of grassroots environmental campaigner who have been working towards this for 10 years. The priority is 175,000 hectares of forest for koalas not the war against carbon emissions.

I've heard thousands of climate denial arguments over the last few decades. But do you know they all fall into one of 5 categories? 1. It's not real 2. It's not us 3. It's not bad 4. We can't fix it 5. You can't trust the info/experts Source: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
