Thanks! We’re often too quick to drop a rookie in Lemon’s situation. If you spent the draft capital on him you have to be patient since he missed the whole offseason. So far, the tape is great. It has to translate into production and I imagine it will.

Don't let him sit in the free agent pool in your redraft leagues. If he's been dropped, rectify that by adding him to your roster. 20% of your FAAB should get it done. In dynasty you should check in with with whoever owns him. He's an elite route runner that we should be getting shares of.

When Smith returns, I can see a world where Lemon pushes Wicks for the 2nd most targets on the team. Lemon is still getting up to speed after missing most of the offseason with his own hammy injury. What I see on the film is enough for me to expect his role in the offense to expand this year.

The Biletnikoff Award winner showcased his route running and great hands when the ball came his way. With how bad the Eagles OL is, I'm hoping they begin hitting Lemon more often when he's open underneath. With DeVonta Smith out with a hammy Lemon should get peppered.

A quick hitter to get Makai Lemon to the sideline to save clock. Lemon gets 7 yards on this out.

A screen for Lemon, but the DB sniffs it out and breaks up the pass. Would've liked Wicks to have gotten contact with the DB earlier instead of pushing him directly into Lemon.

The Jags send an all out blitz. Hurts misses Wicks deep down the left side. Lemon is in the right slot (of course) running a deep curl.

Makai Lemon is wide right against Travis Hunter again on a short slant. Hunter is all over it and gets the pass break up. Two of the best at their respective positions going at it.

From the right slot against press coverage this time. He runs a short out, faking inside before stepping across the DB's face to gain outside leverage and a small window for Hurts to throw into.

PA and the pass rush gets to Hurts, forcing him to checkdown. Lemon is in the right slot against Travis Hunter. He shakes Hunter at the top of the route before breaking the out. Beautiful stuff, Lemon. I love how Lemon immediately turns and blocks Hunter after he sees Pierce catch the pass.

A 7 yard gain for Lemon on a curl. He hesitates slightly before flipping around on the curl. I'm a big fan of the nuance to his route running. He isn't simply getting to the spot he's supposed to be at.

Here's the Darius Cooper TD! Lemon is in the slot on the left side of the field. He cooks the man in press coverage off the LOS on the slant by working the DB to the outside to win inside leverage before breaking on the route.

Lemon is in press coverage against Travis Hunter wide right running a deep curl. He gets a step on Hunter & sells like it's going to be a corner. Hunter is draped all over him at the top of his break & doesn't bite. Hurts hits Wicks for a big gain over the middle. Great ball from Hurts.

Lemon goes in motion to the right side of the field and runs a curl underneath the zone defense. Hurts pumps before firing it to Goedert who's covered by Oluokun. Should've thrown it to Lemon. No one was within 5 yards of him.

Lemon Runs a short curl from the right slot. He's quick to get to his window in the defense, but the ball is already out. The Jags bring 5 on the blitz, overloading the left side of the line getting 2 free defensive players in Hurts face.

Lemon is in the left slot running a dig against Hunter. He gets contact with the DB to sell the PA look before breaking on his route. Hunter certainly looks fooled by the PA and Lemon is open immediately after he breaks but the ball is already out to Goedert. Hurts has an affinity for Goedert.

Makai Lemon with an 11 yard gain on the curl. The ball from Hurts is off target and Lemon has to extend back to pull this one in. We'll get two looks of this catch.

Lemon is in the slot on the left running a intermediate dig. Good coverage by the LB Foyesade Oluokun. Oluokun's coverage was stellar all game.

Lemon is outside in the stack on the left running a short out. Travis Hunter closes on the route quickly. Hurts right guard doesn't do anything to slow down the DLman and he's immediately in Hurts face. This was a trend for the OL.

From the right slot Lemon runs a short out. Travis Hunter is all over it. Lemon makes the catch but does not gain any yards. The duel between Lemon and Hunter was epic. I'll try to call out when they're matched up against one another.

From the left slot he runs his only go route of the day, getting a step on the DB in press. Unfortunately, Hurts was under duress and he had to flee to the other side of the field. If the blocking held up and Hurts saw him this is a 40 yard TD.

You're going to see him in the slot constantly. He runs a short curl from the left slot and is wide open under the zone in the middle.

I made a supercut of Omarion Hampton's 14 rushing attempts from Week 5. By my count, Hampton was hit in the backfield on 9 of those 14 attempts. He gained 37 yards on the other 5 attempts, 12 of which came on a trick play lateral. But broadly, it seems hopeless. I don't know what any RB could do.

In redraft, if you need WR help you're going to want to spend 10-15% of your FAAB on him. PIT sees the Bucs and Saints in the next 2 weeks. I would throw him straight into my lineup if I'm hurting at WR. He's trending up in my dynasty rankings after seeing PIT deploy him perfectly. Buy the Germ!🦠

With Pittman on IR for the next 3 weeks and Roman Wilson out with a finger injury it appears Germie Bernard will serve as the WR2 in the offense. Even when Wilson returns I think Germie plays over him due to his blocking. He's a great blocker for a WR & the team uses him as a blocker on screens.

I did not see him separating on his routes, but he isn't in a role where he's asked to do so frequently. It's really the perfect situation for Germie. I wrote in his prospect profile that his best fit would be in a West Coast offense, which is what his HC Mike McCarthy runs.

Bernard is in a role that plays to all of his strengths. The Steelers are asking him to play underneath the defense out of the slot, giving him the opportunity to be Rodgers quick throw target. His season long route diet & his 6.8 air yards/target are in alignment with what I saw on tape in Week 5.

On a PA look they motion Bernard into the H-back slot. They send him out into the opposite flat and throw him the ball for a 7 yard gain.

And I also hope you're realizing they LOVE running him out of the right slot. He's there again, this time getting physical with the defenders as Muth fakes his man into Bernard's path. Bernard plows over him, freeing up Muth for a wide open TD.

Bernard is in the right slot running an out/curl. Rodgers is forced to roll out and Germie relocates and earns a target. The throw is low and inside, requiring Germ to slide to attempt to catch it. It falls incomplete. I hope you're picking up on Germie being good on broken plays.

Right slot again, this time running a deep corner. He's double covered, but it frees up the underneath man on the right side. Aaron Rodgers completely misses Muth. Would've been another chunk play for the Steelers.

Germ motions to the left and appears to run a deep route, but notices the play has broken down and relocates behind the DB to create an open window for Rodgers. Germie was great at realizing when his QB was in trouble at 'Bama. I have it in my prospect write-up over at @optimusfantasy.com.

Rodgers hits Germie in a tight window on a slant from the right slot, picking up 9 yards. They must've seen how open he was on that Muth double move play from earlier and dialed up a quick slant for him.

The Steelers fake a screen to Warren, with Germie running a short out on the right side. Muth runs a short out from the left and earns the target as he separates against his defender.
