Revisited Castlevania Mobile for the 40th Anniversary, but this is the better 2004 version which was a port of the original NES game. Ran this one earlier in the year. You said you got Bonk vibes but to me I get Wagyan Land, angled ground and the attack that stuns enemies. I played the CD then ran the card and besides the cutscenes I think the only difference I noticed was they changed the skeleton sprite for some reason.

Thunder Hoop for arcade. A trolly run n gun, lots of rude spawns and gotchas. I think pretty easy to 1CC if you take your time. I take 2 deaths after bosses to save time. You could be riskier but 1 hit deaths make it unforgiving. 💍 www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtU6...

We also determined this seems to be the rare Toki clone. Nearly all the mechanics are the same as Toki, way you shoot, bouncing on enemies, screen scrolling, swimming, enemy swarms, it's just bit faster Toki, haha.

Bonk on Amiga. Pretty well done port by Factor 5. Seems everything from the original is here, and the visuals are pretty great. But the controls let it down, there is a big delay in jumping and turning around, makes it impossible to react to certain enemies. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ca-M...

Monstrum, a Polish C64 game from 1994. Very simple, collect a couple items and the gold then exit. Controls are very stiff, you can only jump once you reach the end of a tile. Only one health refill which I take early. Music is good but it's very ugly. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmEQ...

Highly recommend a playthru of the translation, it's great, only takes like 2 hours to beat. The game has lots of pics you can print out as stickers and these are some of my favorites, really love the art of these close up pics.

Puppy Love Story on Casio Loopy, a Japanese console for girls with built in printer for stickers. Mostly just a visual novel, with a handful of minigames where you can lose time. Eikou no St Andrews on N64, really loved this after coming across it earlier this year. It has a unique swing mechanic that is super satisfying once you get it. Has a translation and you level up your golfer as you play rounds. And it turned out being a super fun/addictive speedrun, here's an ace.

There's just something really neat about it. There's hardly anything in the world, but they still put in so many different screens, so they clearly put a lot of effort. But maybe got too deep into the technical. I'm not familiar with how many other console games before this did 3D pre-rendered.

Not sure what other pre-rendered 3D games were out on consoles at the time, this came out 6 months before Resident Evil. I think the art for the bgs is quite nice. Many of the camera transitions are wonky/disorienting, but at least tank controls always keep you moving the same direction.

Steel Legion on NES was also revisited, another one picked for the Big20. Did the all bosses category without getting the E-Tank (not recommended for race). Golf on PS1 PocketStation. Basically an earlier VMU, a memory card with an LCD screen. You could download minigames from some PS1 games. This is just a 9 hole mini golf course. The Funtech Super A'Can was a Taiwanese 16bit console that came out in 1995, so after PS1/Saturn released, thus was DOA. Only 12 games but they are all real games, nothing feels bootleg. It's a pretty impressive thing overall, would love to have seen what later release games could have looked like.

Found a funny glitch, if you jump before it takes control from you after a boss, the sprite glitches out and then the music plays super slow. Keeps going into a new game until you reset. Game still plays at normal speed.
