I'm having a lot of fun at #CampChimera especially an excuse to research and draw critters!
Pen sketch of a flamboyant cuttlefish, with a smooth body with random projections and a bunch of curled tentacles in front.

Handwritten text reads Ascarosepion pfefferi. Native to indo-pacific ocean. Diurnal Hunter of fish and crustaceans. Camouflage helps them stalk prey. Their flesh contains a unique toxin, sometimes advertised with bright colors to dissuade predators. Their skin can change colors rapidly to adapt to their environment in beautiful, hypnotic displays. Two handwritten pages of a notebook decorated with floral washi tape and stickers.

Summer goals: 100,000 steps in June. Earn all merit badges. Practice releasing perfectionism.

Second page titled Eco Engagement, above an ink drawing of a hairy bee labeled Anthidium species.

There are seven species of leaf cutter bees native to the Puget Sound region. Access to native plants and undisturbed soil is important for their conservation. These bees cut sections of leaves to create cell divisions in their roots. They carry pollen on the large bellies, careful not to rub it off until they get home.

The hairs are called "scopa" and it helps them due to the right entrances of their nest cavities where pollen may be lost from their legs compared to other bees. Handwritten page titled Insect Friend, Monday 6/2. Pen and ink drawing of a wild flower. Hanging from the center is the large abdomen of a spider with dimples and a pink stripe, who is holding a bee.

The flower spider, Misumena varia, are found in Europe and N America. They ambush pollinators on flowers. Their vision is great, and their color and pattern can adjust to their surroundings during each molt. Their venom is harmless to people.

I've had this #marimo for ten years now. Truly a lovely, low maintenance spot of greenery in my home.
A 6 inch glass cube full of water, a layer of multicolored pebbles, and a dark green sphere made of algae

It's the perfect weather for some wool crafts, so I've started a #crochet blanket. This beautiful pattern is Espiritu del Sol by Hooked on Sunshine. I love how much texture it has, though it's challenging. I'm learning SO many new stitches! www.hookedonsunshine.co/espiritu-del...
Wool crocheted in a radial pattern, mostly teal with blue and green variation, a flower in the center and leaves around the edge

Celebrating the First Frost of the year this morning! It is time for cozy warm drinks. 💚/|\ #druidry #atheopagan
Close up of grass, clover and fallen leaves covered in sparkling ice crystals. In the distance a ray of sun lights the distant grass in glowing bright green.
