Whims @whims.bsky.social · 01/10/2026@yiggybean.com whats the deal with Killing Show volume 3, 4 and 5 from Via Lactea? I’ve had them on preorder for almost a year. Are they still happening or what’s going on with VL? 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I still want to play it and I probably will depending when it comes out. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Decapolice looking all kinds of fun. Definitely want to check that one out. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 10/09/2026My active Nintendo Switch 2 physical pre-orders for the rest of the year… Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Lies of P Complete Edition Metaphor Refantazio (steelbook edition) Xenoblade Chronicles 3 I’m pondering a few other titles to add but not committed to them just yet. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Guess I’m gonna need to prioritize watching this @flicker-alley.bsky.social MOD Blu-ray for J’Accuse (1919) because I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a disc that was this badly scratched all to kingdom come. Like legitimately this looks horrendous. As long as it plays fine… I guess. 100
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 01/09/2026been weening myself off social media again to mixed success. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 27/08/2026I like glancing at my ClearSky stats on occasion. Apparently I picked up 5 new blocks in the last month or so. I thought I was a pretty chill dude, it kinda hurts my feelings a bit. They didn’t even tell me why or explain themselves. I like to know those sorts of things bc they can help one grow. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 09/08/2026I think I’ve only logged like 30 hours and I’m up to level 18 already. Barely scratched the surface. Enjoying the exploration aspect more than anything. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I feel both aimless in a goal and overwhelmed by what I need to do/learn which is one extreme to the other. I don’t know how much staying power the game has for me right now, I’ll be perfectly frank here. I want to like and play FFXIV but time will only tell. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 05/08/2026early impressions after 4 hours — really like the feel of things and I don’t mind having a lot to do but I feel aimless and having to remember all these buttons to do various things is incredibly daunting and exhausting. I imagine it would be a lot easier to manage with a keyboard or gaming mouse. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 05/08/2026About to jump into the free trial for FFXIV on the Switch 2 and I’m lowkey terrified because everyone tells me how dangerously addicting it is and how it’s going to be my entire life for the foreseeable future. 010
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 02/08/2026My @discotekmedia.bsky.social Otakon breakdown — Ordered — Digimon Frontier, The Big O I/II & Kamen Rider Super-1 Yes — Infinite Ryvius, Argento Soma, Lupin the IIIrd: Zenigata and the Two Lupins, Digimon the Movie Collection 3 Maybe — Penguindrum, Memories 4K, Samurai Pizza Cats, Toradora 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 01/08/2026gon be watching a lot of anime this month it’s indubitably that time 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 01/08/2026I don’t think I can express how excited I am that @animeigo.com is releasing Welcome to Irabu’s Office next year. That show is a stunning and brilliant masterpiece. I feel like I’ve waited 20 years for it to get released here. Wait a second… 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 01/08/2026I hope @discotekmedia.bsky.social is gentle with my wallet tomorrow… 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Decided it was just easier to clean up data from games I have not yet even played and can just reinstall them when I get around to them. Freed up a lot of internal memory. Managed to put this off for a little bit longer thankfully or perhaps to my detriment if the storage cost continues to increase. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 30/07/2026trying to decide if I want to do a dedicated 256gb memory card for FFXIV or buy another 512gb since it’s just a little more and provides a cushion. 010
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 26/07/2026can’t wait to play Xenoblade Chronicles on the Switch 2 edition cartridge in a week. I’m very excited. Never played a single one. I just know it has really cute guys uwu. 010
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 25/07/2026got dragged for wanting to buy this (elsewhere) but if you want to make a definitive statement about protecting and cherishing physical media, then this is probably a defining moment of sorts. If it does well, and it seems to be, it bodes well for the future. Doing my part and sending a message. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 25/07/2026anime fandom once again proving why I don’t want to be a part of it. let people watch what they want to watch. people need to seriously stop being so puritanical about anime (and media in general). you have no idea how being that way causes more harm than good and you wonder why people “turn right”. 110
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 24/07/2026Been waiting for this to come back. Got my order in. Used some store credit I’ve been sitting on. :) 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 22/07/2026This gotta be one of the most hype announcements in a long time and it’s not getting the attention it deserves if I’m being real here. I’m preordering my copy from @diabolikdvd.bsky.social 121
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 19/07/2026One has the vibes and juice, the other has misery and depression. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 19/07/2026I enjoy thing. > Bsky community responds why I shouldn’t enjoy thing and why I’m wrong to enjoy thing and then when I ask why they quickly condemn me to heck. Get added to a block lists. > Other community responds that they’re happy I’m enjoying something and making new friends. 000

Whims @whims.bsky.social · 15/07/2026It’s gonna be over half my Discord servers, oof. I just can’t bring myself to really hang around these types of behaviors. I need for chillax communities to hang around and vibe with. The ones who aren’t psychopaths and have reasonable bones in their bodies. That’s probably a tall ask. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Perhaps it really is time to put one foot out the door with regards to physical media collecting. Definitely in the process of bailing out of the physical media collecting communities I’m engaged with. Just tired of misinfo, circlejerks, echo chambers, brick walls, toxicity & elitism/fanaticism. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 13/07/2026Here’s the PC games I’ve bought because I totes forgot to share. All 6 are from @jastusa.bsky.social — DRM-free, the only way to be. Dramatical Murder (free) Saihate Station + (paid) DLC Slow Damage Sweet Pool Togainu no Chi Can … can you tell what I’m really into? ;) 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 13/07/2026At times I feel like just hanging it up and calling it a day with the amount of just vitriol and toxicity spewed from my hobbies‘ communities but alas I hold on because I still find times of joy and happiness in these things but it’s so few and far between. The time quickly approaches nevertheless. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 13/07/2026Also, not gonna sugarcoat this but physical media collectors and enthusiasts are increasingly becoming more and more hostile, toxic and dismissive even towards their own. If you aren’t in their echo chamber, you are against them-type mob mentality. It’s a real turnoff to see as a longtime collector. 100
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 13/07/2026I have picked up both Undertale and Deltarune from the eShop. I didn’t feel like picking up the physical for the former and waiting for the latter to happen one day. I’m of the same mentality for Hades 2. I’ll probably buy it digitally since I have Hades digitally. The traitor feelings are strong. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 13/07/2026I’ve been buying a number of digital games as of late. I almost feel like a traitor to my physical media collector mentality but I honestly feel pretty fine about it all especially since many are PC visual novels and are DRM-free which is effectively a non-negotiable must for me. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 05/07/2026Grabbed Linda Linda Linda, Look Back and Love & Pop. I already have Umbrella Ent’s Angel’s Egg 4K and I’m happy with it. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 05/07/2026Took them about 10.5 years to break the Indiegogo promise. Not a bad run. It’s not so much the 4K (no problem here) but reissuing it on Blu-ray when Joe and Brandon promised they would keep that particular format to Indiegogo backers exclusively. I didn’t mind DVD when they did that either, fwiw. 010
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 05/07/2026Here’s what I think will happen: Sony reverses course and makes some insane amends to repair their brand and consumer base (dangle shiny new games or insane sales/deals). It leads to everyone forgiving them and ultimately memory holing it. Same as it ever was. 000
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 05/07/2026Sharing a picture of my Nintendo Switch 2 full (and game key) card physical collection. Right now it’s 1:1 between the two. By the end of the year, it will be at full 2 to game key 1 or even 3:1 if things move as intended. Included alt text to the best of my ability. #physicalmedia #Nintendo #gaming 010
Whims @whims.bsky.social · 04/07/2026I have officially lost the juice. Played a few games of Splatoon 3 turf war and did so poorly, I was trying to see if I still had it and I do not. Played some Salmon Run and did okay-ish. Really making me rethink some things (like Splatoon Raiders, yeah I know it’s not PvP but still), not gonna lie. 000
