Private vs Public space in this song Honesty and Lying in the song (lying here; looking in the eyes; lying in the arms of the stranger), it’s subtle and designed to make you think of lying 🛏️ , not lying 🤐, but the potential is there for both/either why aren’t you enjoying the public relationship?

Arms of a Stranger lyrics by Niall
Image is split into two sides, one side says “We were just lovers in the dark” and also says “I was tripping right into your heart
If we're not gonna do this honestly
Baby, won't ya give me back what you took apart
When I was on my knees in the darkness Yeah, you'd be there to break my fall”

The other side of the image says
“Standing out in the crowd
Nobody can hear me now
I'm tryna get over you
Standing out in the crowd
If only you could see me now”

I’m lying in the arms of a stranger, STANDING IN A CROWD. Nobody can hear me now. If only you could see me now. I’m trying to get over you. Lying in the arms of a STRANGER, STANDING IN A CROWD. When I was on my knees IN THE DARKNESS, yeah YOU’D BE THERE. (Arms of a Stranger)

Just two friends singing about the universal experience of your partner leaving out your name in conversations.

Bend the Rules lyrics by Niall Horan

At your favourite place
You go and list the names
Is there one you're leaving out?
I'm not saying that you're lying
But you're leaving out the truth

Queen by Shawn Mendes
Guess I shouldn't be surprised
You say, nice to meet you, every time
I know we got a lot of mutual friends
Don't say my name, don't come up in your conversations

“there’ll never be another I promise that I’ll love you” ANOTHER WHAT?!?! Why did we leave a noun out of the lyric Using ‘another’ as a pronoun, instead of as an adjective to describe the missing noun? There’ll never be another lover There’ll never be another spouse There’ll never be another …
