Ember was downstairs hassling hubs for her supper at 3 p.m. so I brought her upstairs while I stretched. She wandered around and fussed for about 15 minutes. Now she's happily settled in the window and I'm afraid to get off the floor for fear the lobbying will begin again.

When I told Akiva people are saying they won't vote for Jasmine Crockett because racism in TX makes her "unelectable," Akiva said, "for fuck's sake." I reply "this is the correct answer."

I know everyone is all "tariffs, tariffs, tariffs" this morning, but I want you to know @flavorflav.bsky.social is also answering critical questions re: Olympic sports!

Flavor posted video today of him doing four man bobsled with members of the US Olympic team. I asked if bobsled was harder or easier than water polo (he sponsored the US women's wp team in the last summer games). He says "water polo is the hardest sport I have ever tried." I reply, "me too. But I've never bobsledded. I love how you give us a unique view into these sports. It gives me joy."

There are some elk running around the neighborhood but hubs could only get an action shot of one.

For Christmas we got this San Jose Sharks Zamboni Gravy Pitcher. (My IP prof friends will enjoy considering what the licensing agreement might be with the Zamboni manufacturing company.)
