The latter, I kept going through the reset flow and not receiving a single email until I got formally locked out. My unformed mobile engineer guess is that the API is having all sorts of timeouts and the frontend error handling isn't very granular.

I hit all of that, eventually I got an email about an account lockout that asked me for my email and phone number. After that things finally worked.

It took me several tries but I was finally able to get my card and account migrated. I was forced to update my password, and the reset password flow was incredibly busted but I eventually got in.
