While Mudryk and Adarabioyo were let downs in terms of transfers, we can't lose sight that at the macro level, this window has been a success. All of the problems won't be solved in one go, but now it's down to De Zerbi to get the job done and get this team playing well.

"Mentality" is officially a buzzword in my eyes now. The mentality was question when we were 2nd under Poch and the mentality was questioned when we finish 17th. Unless we win every trophy every season, the mentality will ALWAYS come into question, no matter where they are in the table.

People will cry corruption or whatever and totally gloss over the misapplied VAR protocols which led to the red card. www.espn.com/soccer/story...

VAR made their recommendation to the referee based on slow-motion and still replays, which is not aligned with VAR protocols, as these should be used for only point-of-contact purposes in a red card tackle situation. Once at the screen, however, it would have been a surprise if the referee did not send off Balogun considering the pictures he was presented by VAR.
