December Shadows obscured the view of the building that was not a church, its stained glass a mockery of holy devotion. Built in secret, the users called the building their church, but they were not true holy men, and so it was not a true church. True believers were not welcome and often stayed away despite how few places of worship there were in the town, sensing a darkness about the false church that none could ever quite define. Midnight had come and gone when a man stepped out of the trees and walked determinedly towards the building. The hood of his cloak was drawn up and obscured his identity from any who might be lurking in the forest. But the woods were empty save the owls and wolves, and the only ones for miles around were inside already.

The last part in this trilogy is now out! They're all on kindle unlimited and I'd love to push book 3 up the charts-- here's a review!

This series was an exciting spin on magic and found family. As the final book in this series, was pleasantly hooked until the end. had no idea how all the loose ends would tie up in the end, but they did! can't wait for any future series set in this universe.
