A billionaire at the bottom of an ocean seems like a power fantasy story to me.

Been learning this game the past couple of days. It’s a fantastic game.

Also On to Berlin is really fun. I’m just doing a learning play through. Can’t wait to play with someone. It’s a pretty elegant game.

Though Paris is likely to fall tonight. But a year behind schedule and the US resource pool is just increasing. Normandy may be sooner.

I did! Opened and played a game with my wife immediately. It was a lot of fun and some unique twists to that style of game.

Diplomacy in a dungeon is knocking down doors, defeating monsters, and finding loot. It’s better with friends though a solo dungeoneer can practice their doodles.

lol oops - not connected Though I did play Deadly Doodles with my wife and it was a lot of fun. I just set up On to Berlin and am reading the rules while I watch TV.

Yeah, I was a giant fan of this book, supported it, promoted it, and became friends with @jonathantweet.bsky.social because it.

Plus my kid is illustrated in it - who as we know is a giant fan of your fiction 😉 But it really is a perfect kids book. Another favorite is When I Grow Up by Weird Al.

Haha. Also you should get a copy of the book Grandmother Fish. It is the perfect book to read to toddlers (and below and above) about evolution. Plus you’ll enjoy acting out the story as it’s being read.

Why can’t we split the difference and go with Cocaine Bear and honor Waylon Jennings at the same time.

Already ordered! Trying to stay up to date with the game as I slowly get caught up from the years where I didn’t get anything. And praying to the manufacturering gods that a couple things get reprinted in the next 5-6 years.

Played Go for the first time in at least 7-8 years at the Japan Fest in New Orleans today. I was never that good, but didn’t completely embarrass myself.

I hadn’t given my tithe to Steve Jackson in a couple of months, so I finally ordered this game. We’ve been having more fun with drawing games and think this will get played. I’m sure it will be fun. That I have no doubt.

It doesn’t happen as often because my kid is almost 16, but still when life is super rough, she will request me reading Tolkien to her to settle down enough to sleep. Only because I read so much of it when she was young.

Also this is super enjoyable because it gives me a taste of an alternative life since I had planned to go to grad school in premodern Japan (kamakura Japan was my BA focus) before life took a weird turn and put me into food science. So I still read and learn.

Tech side was pretty good. The volume on the discussions was harder to hear, but just got turned up on the remote end. All presentations displayed perfectly.
