With trans rights I am specifically opposed to advocating for trans athletes because it only impacts a fraction of a percent of trans people. Basic civil rights for all LGBTQ are on shaky ground - trans athlete issue is a distraction. 200

IMO it’s not worth sacrificing other issues that affect many more people and I’d rather win and get 80% (like allowing trans to serve in the military) than lose because of an issue that impacts a fraction of a percent. 420

I know that’s how a lot of people like me feel. I am sure I’ll be crucified for that position and thats what will drive more people away- and dems will not win on that. 600

I teach high school and the attentiveness of students has plummeted in the past 5 years (phones/apps like TikTok, constant headphone use, COVID…). Many rely heavily on using AI to “cheat”- just to finish. 010

One of the things they could not replicate is the “stickiness” of community and accountability that an in person class has. Of course credits can supply some of that but I still think they fall short (as all asynchronous classes do.) 110
