Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Good catch. It's a bug, and I'll get to work on it. 010
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 04/09/2026that brings up a full menu of templates to get you started. 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Yes absolutely. Go to Manage and click the + button 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 31/08/2026You can also add header images to replace the standard Chapter titles. You can also add images behind the drop caps the same way. 000
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 31/08/2026If you want an image in the prose itself, hover over between the paragraphs where you want to insert the image. 100
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 31/08/2026For full page or two page spreads, click on the + button and choose one of the options. 000
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 31/08/2026I'm glad you're enjoying it. Covers are added in Manage. I'm not sure I understand you're second question, are you seeing how to insert an image and something is wrong with it or are you not seeing how to add it? 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 29/08/2026I’m pretty sure it needs to be discussed. 130
Reposted by Wesley Watts / OpusWriterJasen with an Eek! @aliencg.com · 28/08/2026I don't want to say that I have another writing project, but I'm currently trying out OpusWriter by @wesleywatts.bsky.social and currently loving it. 131
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 20/06/2026I’ll look into it. There is a click and drag option from the toolbar though. If you click and drag from the + button you can drag it to wherever you’d like. 010
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 17/06/2026Looks like you found a bug. I will look into it right away. 110

Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 16/06/2026Not too much to ask, but I don't want to guarantee anything. Send them over and I'll have a look: wesley@opuswriter.app 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 16/06/2026Hi Daniel, that's meant to be used more like for archetypes. However in a future update I will be adding the ability to type whatever you want in that field so you'll be able to designate it protagonist, antagonist, or anything you want. 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Thank you so much. That means a lot! 100
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Never hurts to ask 😃 Maybe once the app goes full price. But with its current discount and the extra charges I already pay for out-of-country sales, I just can't offer any further discounts right now. 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 14/06/2026then once you get closer to publication, decide where your chapters are going to start and switching those scenes to chapters. (It's very easy to toggle them.) 010
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Yes. Although if you're really unsure of where your chapters are going to start and you just have a bunch of scenes, I would recommend ONLY using scenes... 210
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 14/06/2026I've just started putting out walkthroughs, tips-and-tricks, and deep dives on the various features and capabilities of OpusWriter so be sure to subscribe and hit that bell icon. This one is on the Quick Notes feature. www.youtube.com/watch?v=INqX...youtube.comNotes That File Themselves While You Write | OpusWriter: Quick NotesYouTube video by OpusWriter 000
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Create your chapter and treat it as the chapter headings + first scene. Then each scene after that will be part of that chapter. For added separation of you want, you could put the while group in a folder too. Hopefully that makes sense. I’ll do a YouTube video on this soon. 100
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Not quite. Because some people only use chapters I didn’t want chapters to be a glorified folder or something. So when using scenes they just append whatever comes before it. So the way I think you’re using it what you would probably want to do is… 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 13/06/2026Whatever is convenient for you. BSky is fine. Some formatting options like bold and italics for notes/textareas is on the list. But I probably won't set up markdown conversions since it'd be another text language and increase the potential for bugs. 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 13/06/2026Thank you for the kind words. As for your question: since OpusWriter is an all-in-one app I hadn't really considered it. But that wouldn't be difficult to add. I would want to understand the purpose of the export so that I could do it right. What would you use the export for? 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 13/06/2026I've actually looked into what it would take to offer other language support. I want to do it, but I have to be honest with you, it won't be soon. I'll need a significant budget. The Editing functions are going to be very challenging to translate and I'll need native speaking translators. 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 13/06/2026I hadn't really considered split and merge, but I don't think that would be too difficult to add in. I would definitely be willing to look into it. 110
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 13/06/2026Olá Daniel. I don't have a roadmap yet. But once it goes into full release, I'll be putting something up on the site. I'm cautious to tell to much with the roadmap though, as many of the features I have in mind no one else has yet. 010
Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 02/06/2026I abdicated it to my adoring fan base LMAO 😂 that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 130

Wesley Watts / OpusWriter @wesleywatts.bsky.social · 17/05/2026When I wrote in #Scrivener, once I exported to my editor I was stuck in Word until I'd accepted or rejected every change. Usually I didn't bother bringing it back, so the manuscript just lived in Word. So I'm building track changes and comments directly into OpusWriter. #amwriting #amediting 010
