The edge of one pocket was loose, just needed like an inch and a half of the edge sewn back down and it's good as new, and I still remember how to backstitch

Sometimes never getting rid of things pays off. Got a pirate hat at Renfaire but a bit of cord holding the back in place snapped. Sure they could fix it if I take it back to the booth next time I go, but I also had the same size leather cord stashed away so I could fix it myself

No I'm sure it's fine that it's thundering and pouring rain again when they haven't even finished cleaning up after the last couple waves of storms. No problem at all. Surely all the branches and trees likely to come down have already fallen.

My parents and I had lunch with my sister for the first time in. IDK. Close to 20 years. (She lives out of state). Met my furry nephew for the first time. It was nice. I now also know which hotel downtown to never ever EVER stay at holy shit
